Wikipedia:Good article review pledges

The Good Article nomination process relies on having as many reviews performed as there are nominations to avoid having a long backlog. To speed things along, some users make pledges to review other articles once their own nomination is under review.

Typical pledges
- When my article gets reviewed, I will review one other article.
- When my article gets reviewed, I will review one other article, giving priority to nominations with review pledges.
- When my article gets reviewed, I will review two other articles.
- When my article gets reviewed, I will review two other articles, one of them with a review pledge if possible.
- When my article gets reviewed, I will review an old nomination.
- When my article gets reviewed, I will review a nomination by a newbie.
Please add your own. Anything goes as long as it involves promising at least one review.
How to make and fulfil a pledge
Use the |note= field in {{GA nominee}} on the talk page of your article after making a nomination. For example, you could use
|note=I [[WP:GARP|pledge]] that when this article gets reviewed, I will review two other articles, one of them with a review pledge if possible.
A link to this page is appreciated, but of course optional. The word "pledge" must be included so the bot can identify it.
When you use User:SD0001/GAN-helper to add the GAN template to the talk page, a blank |note= field is automatically generated as the second to last field (before |shortdesc=). Be careful not to duplicate the |note= field, it confuses the bot.
The bot will automatically list your pledge in the section #Automatic list of open pledges and remove it once your nomination is under review. To better keep track of pledges, we also have a manually curated list at #Semi-manual pledge tracker; please list your pledges there if you can.
When you start the review(s) you have pledged, please link back to the review of your article to make it easier to find. Typical text to use is

In order to keep us all honest, please do not review a nomination by the person reviewing your article, but find something else.
