The school was established on 26, September, 2002, by the Diocese of Nnewi Anglican Communion. On 21, October, 2002, it was commissioned by the then bishop of Nnewi Diocese, Most Revd Prof. Godwin I. Okpala who was and the proprietor of the convent. He was later succeeded by Rt. Revd Ndubuisi .C. Obi who became reg new bishop of the diocese of Nnewi. ^{[3][2][8][4][1]}

The school takes new students every September annually. General entrance and examinations for Junior and secondary schools are held in April and interviews in May. Prospective students can get the common entrance forms from the school, Seminaries and Convents and archdeaconry headquarters. Moreover, Prospective students can also register online.^[13]

The students have outstandingly represented the Diocese, Province and State in different academic competitions such as: Diocesan and Provincial quiz, National Chemistry Association Competition, SPAK Science competition, NNPC Science competition and Obi Jackson Igbo debate. The school has won a total of Sixty-two (62) Trophies and counting. WAEC result 2022 reveals 14 students that scored 8 As and above while; in JAMB, one of the students scored 318 and the other scored 307. Moreover, 72% of the total students who sat for JAMB scored 250 and above.^[3]
