But hey, they can't figure out how to fill those two hours a day five days a week, so they have someone do it for them. (And then pay them for it. And then they get all snooty when the CW decides "hey, we're the ones doing your job, YOU should pay US!") But the real prize is being able to come up with a pithy branding. They don't want to can't do it on their own or they're going to come up with something dumb like "TV38" or take the last three letters of their calls and call that a branding. You don't want to scare people with actual call letters, if only because that breaks the magic Rule of Three, that acronyms for TV channels cannot be longer than three letters, ESPN notwithstanding. On radio, you have exciting stuff like "JACK FM" or "100.7 The Point" or something like that, but on TV, if you don't have a network you're basically screwed with some dumb name. Their programming is as uncreative as their branding too. Sitcom reruns, copycat court shows, syndicated fare not good enough to be on a network or even cable, and infomercials. Always infomercials. Okay, rant over. The truth is, we don't know and it could be a sign of something in the works, or of an implicit assumption that the 1-3 on WFXT plan is the plan.
