You know the drill by now...

Voter guides are written in one of three ways - they can be written around the author's own experiences of the candidates, they can be written around an in-depth review of the candidate, or they can be a combination of experience and review.

All three approaches have significant weaknesses and you are reliant on either the experiences, and/or the editing and behaviour that was reviewed by the author of the voter guide.

They may miss things or make potentially flawed decisions on what is/isn't important to them and/or to you.

It is therefore absolutely vital that you do your own research on each candidate, ask questions where you feel the need to do so, and where it's sensible (and only where it's sensible) to do so, then consider asking other users for their opinions on the candidates, all as part of a balanced approach to making an informed decision before casting your votes.
