I used to teach linguistics at the University of Toronto and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. I hold a PhD from UMass, and my alma mater is the University of California, Santa Cruz. My main areas of expertise are in generative syntax and morphology, but I can hold a conversation with a phonologist. I like to joke that I don't think words exist because I'm not sure that they do.
