User:Nullnominal/Why We Edit

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

We care about editing because it helps us infodump about our autistic special interests while also learning about them. We typically teach overselves everything about the subject by finding and reading reliable sources (by the English Wikipedia's standards). When we're doing that, we typically find ourselves enjoying it intellectually, leading us to edit Wikipedia more. While we are doing that, we put it in the related articles as it is the perfect place for the information that we find. When people improve our edits, we also learn from what they do, leading us to have better competence on Wikipedia and other aspects of our life in general. One thing that can be said about us is we are a non-academic expert in fields that we have researched for multiple years. However, we are not the best at our social skills due to us being a neurodivergent loner.

Though, we do other things then working on our special intrests like WP:GNOMEING Special:AbuseLog and other practices when we are out of spoons for talk page etiquette. We often get triggered by our Rejection sensitive dysphoria when we see something as a personal attack and just try to follow Wikipedia:Staying cool when the editing gets hot. If all else fails we try to get off for a couple of days.
