Etymology
PelliculUploader’s name comes from the Latin-derived pellicula (film) and the English word uploader. I originally intended to upload pictures of prop buildings in Grantville, Georgia that were used for the filming of The Color Purple in 2022.
Ancestry
PelliculUploader is largely of European descent; thanks to his parents’ DNA tests, he also has ancestry from four different lands outside of Europe: the Middle East, North Africa, the Caucasus mountains, and West Africa. My Eurasian and West/North African ancestry userboxes highlight my distant non-European roots.
Genealogy
PelliculUploader is a descendant of the following English colonists (I am the twelfth great-grandson of them all): Lion Gardiner, Ralph Dayton, John Woodruff (not the Puritan nonconformist) and Ananias Conkling.
Distant cousins found:
-From Ralph Dayton-
- George Draper Dayton (seventh cousin six times removed)
- Mark Dayton (tenth cousin three times removed)
