This noticeboard is for obvious vandals and spammers only. Consider taking this report to the conflict of interest noticeboard (or Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents, if the case is serious). Daniel Quinlan (talk) 09:07, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
- AbbaszaGoat (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) – account is evidently a spambot or a compromised account. Non autoconfirmed user rapidly reverting sandbox edits. JoBo Gamer 10:08, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
Edits are not vandalism. Please ensure recent edits constitute vandalism before re-reporting. @JoBoGamer: There's no evidence this account is a spambot or compromised, and the user's activity looks like editing tests. A user reverting their own edits in the sandbox is not vandalism and it's definitely not obvious vandalism. If the account actually starts disrupting the project, someone can report the account at that time. Daniel Quinlan (talk) 11:22, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
- Sissou31 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) – actions evidently indicate a vandalism-only account. Clearly not here to contribute constructively. ProClasher97 ~ Have A Question? 11:16, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

Current requests for increase in protection level
Slovak Volunteer Campaigns
Reason: It was an intense IP vandalism a year ago, we had also a talk page discussion. The page was protected in August. IP vandalism was in autumn, winter and now again. OrionNimrod (talk) 10:07, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
2026 in the Philippines
Reason: Recurring sockpuppetry by WP:YAYSMAY15. This is the third time this month that I've filed for PP and editors are downplaying and suggesting SPI instead when they've failed to read the link showing that they are a perennial TA hopper making SPI useless. Current requests for reduction in protection level
Before posting a request for unprotection, please discuss it with the protecting administrator first. You can create a request below only if you receive no response from them.
To find out which administrator protected the page, go to the page's edit history and click on the "View logs for this page" link (located underneath the page's title). The protecting administrator is listed in the protection log entry, next to the words "protected", "changed protection level", or "configured pending changes". If there are a large number of log entries on the page, use the drop-down menu near the top of the page and select "Protection log" or "Pending changes log" to filter the logs accordingly.
DO NOT request a reduction in protection if...
- ...you are being prevented from editing the page. A desire to change content is not a valid reason for unprotection. Instead:
- If you can edit the article's talk page, use the WP:Edit Request Wizard to propose a change on the article's talk page. Include an explanation of the exact content that you want to change, and what the content will be afterward.
- If the article's talk page is protected, you may propose a change at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection/Edit.
- ...your reasoning for reducing protection is that the article has not been vandalized. That simply means the protection is working as intended.
- ...your reasoning for reducing protection is basically "a long time has passed" without supporting details.
- ...you haven't contacted the protecting administrator.
You may request a protection reduction below if...
- ...you want to change the protection level of a template or module from full protection to template protection. You may add the request to this page without having to discuss it with the protecting administrator first.
- ...you need to remove creation protection from a location where no page exists (redlinked pages) after a draft version of the intended article is prepared beforehand and ready to be published.
- ...you are proposing a trial reduction in protection for a page that has been protected for several years, provided the proposal is supported by evidence such as talk page activity, page views, page traffic, number of watchers, frequency of edit requests, and prior history of vandalism.
- ...the protecting administrator is inactive or has not responded to you in several days.
If you cannot locate your request, make sure to check the request archives to see if it's been moved there. Only requests that have been recently answered will still be listed here.

Current requests for edits to a protected page
Please add an edit request to the talk page of the protected page before adding an edit request here
Requests for specific edits should be made on the talk page of the protected article. You can create an edit request below only if the talk page is also protected, preventing you from adding a request there.
- You may add the appropriate template (
{{Edit protected}},{{Edit template-protected}},{{Edit extended-protected}}, or{{Edit semi-protected}}) to the article's talk page if you would like to request an edit be made. Doing so will automatically place the page in the appropriate category for the request to be reviewed. - For edit requests being made due to the editor having a conflict of interest with the article subject (see Wikipedia:Suggestions for COI compliance), the
{{Edit COI}}template should be used instead of the others listed above. - Requests to move pages that are currently move-protected should be made at Wikipedia:Requested moves, not on this page.
- This page is not for holding discussions regarding content. Please make a request only if you have a specific edit that you wish to be performed.
Otherwise, this is the correct place to use in order to add an edit request if you are unable to add one to the article's talk page. Please see the top of this page for instructions on how to properly add a request.
2026 Iran war
In the infobox, change:
to
The explanatory note only includes the sinking of IRIS Dena, which was near the totality of naval losses a week ago but the claimed losses have now substantially expanded. This would also bring the treatment of naval losses much more in line with aviation losses.
An alternate (in my opinion uglier) option would be:
- 104 sailors killed, 32 injured off the coast of Sri Lanka.[2]

2026 Iran war
Why are Palestinian civilians especially highlighted in casualty figures, even though they are not direct war casualties? And why are they the only ones for whom children are explicitly mentioned as victims?
In addition, Israel is often explicitly named as the one who has “killed” people. If one wants to be this precise, then the same standard should be applied in all other cases as well.
For example, reports should also mention the child who was killed in Kuwait by an Iranian drone, and just as clearly state that civilian casualties in the Gulf states were caused “by Iran” – in the same way it is phrased in the case of Israel. Cabri13 (talk) 04:47, 16 March 2026 (UTC)
Not done. This is not an edit request, this is just a complaint. A proper edit request proposes a specific change in the form "change X to Y" along with policy based reasoning and citing reliable sources. This request fails on all counts. ~Anachronist (who / me) (talk) 05:18, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

AutopatrolledUser:Umais Bin Sajjad
I have created over 150 mainspace articles (primarily in the area of Film and TV). While some of my earlier creations were deleted, the majority of my recent articles remain live, and I have refined my sourcing and notability assessment standards over time. I am familiar with WP:N, WP:BLP, WP:V and WP:RS and I ensure that all new articles meet notability and sourcing standards prior to creation. As I continue to create new articles...I believe autopatrolled would help reduce workload for NPP, as my pages generally require minimal follow-up. Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 12:03, 22 February 2026 (UTC) User:TinaLees-Jones
User has created over 900 live articles, mainly all relating to Asian people and places. None of the articles I've randomly spot checked have any major issues that would prevent them from passing muster in NPP. SnowyRiver28 (talk) 01:15, 13 March 2026 (UTC) User:AjayDas

AutoWikiBrowserUser:Red0ctober22
Recent changes have been performed to the infobox template for college basketball teams, and I have added new parameters which, following MOS, uses snake case. Older and existing parameters are in violation of this, and so I am seeking to use AWB to make bulk fixes to every page that uses this template in adding underscoring. I would estimate over 500+ pages use this template, so having automation for this would be preferred. Red0ctober22 (talk) 18:23, 9 March 2026 (UTC)

I want to automatically update outdated parameters in all pages with a certain infobox, and I believe AutoWikiBrowser might be a good option for this. DoO2 04:53, 11 March 2026 (UTC)
User:Yiba
I need some, potentially large number of, lists of articles that may benefit from certain changes in templates and wiki markup language, like toggling between 'resetting' and "not resetting" the footnote label numbering after each {{notelist}}. Some background can be found in Template_talk:Notelist#Section_Notes. I have no intention of using the access for mass-editing. Yiba (talk | contribs) 06:48, 13 March 2026 (UTC)
User:ThaesOfereode
I'd like access to AWB to take care of typos and MOS errors I'm constantly coming across in one fell swoop, usually MOS:'S, MOS:LQ, MOS:LANG, MOS:SINGLE, and the various case uses of MOS:DASH. Any automation that can be added to these kind of clockwork edits would be helpful. I still plan on doing mostly manual edits bc I'm more engaged with expansion than cleanup. But I think I go through enough ebbing and flowing in the clockwork edits department to justify AWB'ing. ThaesOfereode (talk) 22:15, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

See WP:PUBSOCK for more information. I also would like to use this just in case my main account gets compromised, or if I forget my password and I am unable to recover it. Requesting file mover rights to correct misnamed files related to TV and film articles. I frequently encounter files uploaded with incorrect names and would like to move them to accurate titles while preserving history. Example: File:Pakistan_Idol_(season_1).jpg actually contains the poster for MasterChef Pakistan season 1. I plan to fix similar straightforward naming issues in accordance with file naming guidelines. Umais Bin Sajjad (talk) 04:45, 11 March 2026 (UTC)

Requesting a trial run only unless you think I clearly meet the criteria. I want to see if this is something I enjoy, especially because there is such a large backlog on it. I am interested in patrolling new pages on Wikipedia, making sure new articles meet the Wikipedia standard and do not give room for Mis/Disinformation. SayvhiorTalk 02:35, 13 March 2026 (UTC) User:Boynamedsue
I made an article the other day and saw it hadn't yet been reviewed. When I looked into the review process to find out why, I realised that there was a big backlog and I could probably help out. So here I am. I've been a user for a long time and have contributed to AfD (though somewhat sporadically) and written quite a few new articles of decent quality. I contribute a lot at the reliable source noticeboard and have a very strong grasp of sourcing and WP:GNG. My one weakness that I am aware of is that I've never created a draft, so I would probably need help with that. There will likely be some other technical questions I'm not yet aware of, but I pick stuff up quickly. Boynamedsue (talk) 06:29, 13 March 2026 (UTC) User:Phlogiston Enthusiast
Hello. I'm Phlogiston Enthusiast. I have ~1350 edits total, and many more than 500 main space edits. I have created many pages, and am familiar with the policy on page creation, as well as translated a page into English, so I would be familiar with this too. I'm looking for something new to try, and I'd like to try this. I have at least 90 Days of experience as well. I have experience patrolling recent changes and pending changes. I usually edit using TOR browser, in case that effects anything. The last request I made too early because I was incorrect about the amount of time my account had existed. RollbackUser:Phlogiston Enthusiast
Hello! I am Phlogiston Enthusiast. I would like a moment of your time to request rollback rights. I believe that I could use rollback permissions to assist in anti-vandalism in the recent changes tab. There are multiple reasons for this. For one, it would streamline reverts on articles that need them, and be a useful tool against vandalism. This is because if a user is making edits of a vandalistic nature, they are likely to have made multiple. Rollback would assist with these issues and prevent long and drawn-out revert wars by vandals. Second, I believe that I meet the qualifications for the role. I possess experience patrolling the recent changes section, and have reverted many vandalous edits. If need be, I can attempt to provide a comprehensive list of the articles on which I have combatted vandalism. Finally, I understand that it looks bad to have had two arguments over vandalism-related subjects in the past. However, I would argue that this is almost the opposite, as having a clean record with no mistakes would mean that I had no mistakes to learn from, and as well I have apologized to all parties involved in both. In summary, I believe that I should possess rollback rights as to better combat vandalism, and if need be there can be elaboration. If not, I completely understand. Ammending: this was written roughly a month ago. I was told that I would need one month's experience more before I should re-apply. I have since aqquired more than this. I have been the cause for scores of blocks and have better since de-vandalized the Wiki. Following my embarrasing mishap recently reguarding confusion over the tool, I have better researched it and now believe I would be more fit to utilize this. I've started reverting vandalism edits, with a pattern of revert, warning the user, and reporting to AIV if they have a history of vandalism and the warn is severe. Another user notified me on my talk page that I might find rollback useful, and it looks like it would definitely speed up reverting repeat offenders that were never reverted. Temporary account IP viewerUser:Cadddr
I'm a recent changes patroller (and as of recently, a rollbacker). Recently, at Anabel Ternès, multiple temporary accounts were repeatedly making the same WP:BLP violation. Most likely, it was the same person, but I don't want to assume that without a little more evidence. I suspect I'll occasionally come across similar situations while dealing with vandalism and other policy violations. Cadddr (talk) 23:58, 15 March 2026 (UTC) User:MolecularPilot
Hi! I'm heavily involved in vandalism / recent changes patrol, AfC, and am an NPP patroller, which would all benefit from having this permission (and there's been a few cases recently where it would have been useful to me). I meet the 6 months / 300 edits requirement, and agree to follow all guidelines. MolecularPilotTalk 10:34, 16 March 2026 (UTC) |
