Petra Tolja
Petra Tolja is a Slovenian travel industry professional and entrepreneur, known as the founder and owner of Pure Travel, a travel agency that offers personalized leisure and corporate travel services worldwide.
She has over 20 years of experience in the travel sector, having worked abroad and participated in exchange programs before establishing her own business. Ms. Tolja has also served as a business council member of the Slovenia-India Business Council, reflecting her involvement in international business and networking activities.[1]
Role at the World Expos
Ms. Petra Tolja has also served in senior roles at the World Expos. She was the Head of Protocol, Logistics, and Events for the Slovenian Pavilion at the Expo 2020 Dubai, part of Slovenia’s official team representing the country in the United Arab Emirates.
Tolja continued her involvement with the World Expos at the Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, where she again served as Head of Protocol, Logistics, and Events for the Slovenian Pavilion. In Osaka, she played a key role in managing formal delegations, official visits, and operational aspects of Slovenia’s presence at the global exhibition, which focused on themes of sustainability, innovation, and future society.
Due to her leadership and contributions during Expo 2025, Tolja was subsequently promoted to Deputy Commissioner General of the Slovenian mission to the expo, reflecting expanded responsibilities in oversight and representation of the country’s participation.[2]
