This is a project to ensure that for each pair of articles with two easily confusible names or alternate spellings/transliterations of the same name both articles have a hatnote to each other. It started in February 2026 as a release of pent-up frustration about Wikipedia's bad handling of Arabic names that left articles basically impossible to find (which I originally noticed while working on WP:PDAB), and has since been extended to cover many other unrelated uses.
The AWB run that links to this page takes one of the below pairings and adds a hatnote to the relevant article, using the short description of that article in a {{for}} if possible, or a {{distinguish}} if the article has no shortdesc or one that wouldn't be a useful disambiguating qualifier

- "Gerry" <-> "Jerry"
- "Saint" <-> "St" (may be false positives here)
- "Saint" <-> "St." (a fairly ugly special case, done some of but punting the rest for later)
