The SK postcode area, also known as the Stockport postcode area[2], is a group of postal districts around Alderley Edge, Buxton, Cheadle, Cheadle Hulme, Dukinfield, Glossop, High Peak, Hyde, Macclesfield, Stalybridge, Stockport and Wilmslow in England.

The HIGH PEAK post town (SK22 and SK23 districts) was created in 1996 from part of the STOCKPORT post town (SK12 district).[3]
