Hello Editors,

I am drafting an article about the author Scott Semegran. The author has approached me with a {paid} engagement to draft and edit the article about his books, his writing, and his publishing career. I am aware of the potential for COI in drafting this article. I hope to create an article that will inform Wikipedia readers about the books Semegran has written and published, as well as his actions in the literature community around Austin, Texas and in the literature community in general. Semegran's work has been named in more than one writing competition that does not require entry fees or payments. He has also been noted in several media resources which report on authors, books, and publishing careers.

Early in my own writing career, I applied for and was tested by Field Enterprises for a place on the World Book staff. Although Field did not hire me, I hope to create the kind of NPOV work that an encylopedia requires. I look forward to help and guidance from the editors here to make my contributions useful, accurate, and as well-sourced as any article ought to be.
