Mohammed Kaif (born 2008) is an Indian professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Indian Super League club Hyderabad FC and the India national under-20 team. He is the first player from Rajasthan in over 40 years to represent India at the international level.

Early life

Kaif was born in Makrana, Rajasthan. In 2018, he joined the inaugural batch of the Zinc Football Academy, operated by Hindustan Zinc.

Club career

In February 2025, Kaif was officially signed by Indian Super League club Hyderabad FC. Prior to joining the ISL, he represented South United FC and Diamond Harbour FC in various youth and regional tournaments.[1][2]

International career

Kaif represented India at the 2023 SAFF U-16 Championship, where he scored a crucial goal in the semi-final against Maldives. In March 2026, he was named among the "Top 3 Performers" for the India U-20 team during their match against Bangladesh in the SAFF U-20 Championship.[3][4]
