Confessions

2021-∞

  • A number of times, mostly in my beginning, I created non-notable articles which were removed (see early archives). Apparently, I introduced copyvios. My commons copyright experience was a disaster. I self-sanctioned where appropriate, matured, and became a better person. See my apology to the commons: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Village_pump/Archive/2021/06#A_clean_start
    • Since then I've created a few pages at the fringes of notability that have met various fates, however I believe all of these had a case to be made for them and wasn't from a lack of policy understanding.
    • I am not proud of who I was. I am proud of who I am now.
  • When reviewing spam a small percent of actions are misfires when the queues are overwhelmed and I rush. This will likely never change, but I work to reduce the number. A couple users have kindly notified me of these mistakes.

2025-∞

  • After a long wikibreak I made a misguided AfD which I closed: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bypass Paywalls Clean
  • 2025 Bielefeld stabbing attack: Later deleted under G5. I recreated it myself as a translation of the German article and incorporated information via WP:REFUND sent to me by the admin who nuked. Nothing wrong here, just a note.
  • I patrolled the redirect page Emma Hakansson(Activist) however it should’ve been deleted under R3 which I was not aware of.
  • After affirmatively reviewing “Ohio House Bill 8 (2023)”, I noticed the bill was titled “Parents' Bill of Rights” and there was already a “Parents' Bill of Rights” article about a bill in Saskatchewan. I took it upon myself to move “Parents' Bill of Rights” to “Parents' Bill of Rights (Saskatchewan)”, and create a disambiguation in the original article’s place. I had assumed the move was uncontroversial, and did not check the talk page. An admin notified me that there had previously been a move discussion and undid the move. The previous disussion was before the Ohio article, so I reopened the move discussion.
  • I approved “"How Do You Do" (Shakira song)”, not noticing this title without the quotes is a redirect. After being alerted to this, I took the initiative of requesting a technical move as the redirect page had history.
  • I speedyed a draft for copyvio however all the content came from a federal website.
  • I became confident with one user's articles, so failed to give their subsequent ones the careful lookover they deserved. If I had, I would have identified a number of non-existent sources. I was notified about this mistake, and rereviewed my reviews and draftified 4 additional articles.
