PowerPC (operating system)
PowerPC is a linux-based operating system developed in 2017.
History
PowerPC is an operating system solo developed by Edward Stamper in 2017 on Scratch. It was originally called EE (extraordinary electronics). After EE 10 Zeta, it changed its name to PowerPC 1.0 ZetaSE. Edward made 122 prototypes on TurboWarp. After that, he used Base44 to make a web-based OS, PowerPC 2.0. Then, he made several updates before starting development for PixelDOS (Command line) and PowerPC 2.1.1 (Linux-based). As of January 2026, it has not been completed.
Command line syntax
PixelDOS is a command line. The commands are listed below:
| Command | Use |
|---|---|
| *.pxp | Run a program. |
| unimark | Open Unimark Studio to develop an application. |
| cd | Change the current directory. |
| *:/* | Used after cd to specify the directory to change to. |
| *.plb | Open a library file. |
| run.pxp | Technically not a distinct command, but the most used variation of *.pxp. |
PixelDOS applications
The only built-in applications are Unimark and the command line, but using Unimark, you can develop more, or using a CD, you can add other applications. For example, Writer (text editor) is a program developed with Unimark Studio.
PowerPC app ID list
The PowerPC app ID list is a list of IDs used to identify and execute all programs. In Unimark Studio (PowerPC), you can make .ppa applications for PowerPC. The developer can choose an unused app ID. There are 99999 total possible app IDs, though some by the same company for the same function, can use decimals.
