I live in the Middle West of the United States of America. I always have, except for 7 years lived near Philadelphia and one year in Nashville/Murfreesboro, TN. My nickname, or handle, was adopted from W. Somerset Maugham — not because I read him at the time, but because I read Gore Vidal’s review on Maugham on my way through most of Vidal’s work. I work with computers, especially if they run Linux, listen to music, and read (mostly non-fiction).
