I serve as Project Manager at the Global Open Initiative Foundation (GOIF), a Wikimedia movement-affiliated not-for-profit organisation based in Ghana and operating internationally. GOIF's mission is to make knowledge and data freely accessible to underrepresented communities through open educational resources, open data advocacy, and Wikimedia contribution programmes.
In my role, I lead the planning, coordination, and community engagement across GOIF's portfolio of programmes, supported by the foundation's General Support Fund. These programmes include the Workshops and Edit-a-thon Series, Democratizing Access to Legal Information, AfroCuration Ghana, Twi Community Editing Workshops, University Wiki Clubs, Nzema and Ewe Wikipedia Content Development, Oral History Documentation, and Publicity, Outreach and Readership Campaigns.
Collectively, these initiatives work to close content gaps on Wikimedia platforms, preserve African languages and cultural heritage, expand access to legal information, and build a sustainable, inclusive volunteer community across Ghana and the wider African continent.
