Tamara Lynn Chambers (born February 7, 1991)[4] is an amercian actress, comedian[5], and YouTuber[6] known for her roles in the satirical review web series, Nostalgia Critic.[7]

Early life

Chambers was born Tamara Lynn Chambers on February 7, 1991, in Nipomo, California to Steven and Cyndi (née Fischer) Chambers.[8][9] She has a younger brother, Taylor (b. 1995), who is a theater actor.[10][11]

Career

After graduating from Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts in June 2011, Chambers moved out to Chicago, Illinois in October of that same year.[12][13]

Chambers made her first appearance on Nostalgia Critic in the Season 6, Episode 9 "Catwoman" review episode in which she portrayed Anne Hathaway.[14][15] Since this episode, she has become a regular cast member replacing Rachel Tietz.[16]

On December 27, 2013, Chambers performed a stand-up comedy show at the "No Shame Theatre" in Chicago.[17]

In 2015, Chambers provided the voice of Gaea in independent animated short film entitled, "Trikuma" directed by Doryan Nelson.[18]

In 2016, Chambers starred in short film, "Think Twice" directed by Eliaz Rodriguez in which she portrayed Tess.[19][20]

From 2016 to 2020, Chambers hosted an internet series entitled, "Tamara's Never Seen" in which she reviews and comments on films she has never see before as well as the spinoff series entitled, "Tamara Just Saw" which ran from in 2017 to 2020.[21][22][23]

In 2017, Chambers portrayed Darlene in the independent film, "Jesus, Bro!".[24]

In 2018, Chambers portrayed Susie in animated short film, "Zoolaplex: Hostile Work Environment".[25][26]

In 2019, Chambers portrayed the role of Shelley Songs in Another Cinema Snob Movie starring Brad Jones, Rob Walker, and Korey Goodwin.[27][28]

In 2022, Chambers starred in horror film entitled, "Adam Heatherly's Frankenstein!" in which she portrayed the character Prudence O'Day.[29]

In August 2024, Chambers announced she has stepped aside from Channel Awesome and Nostalgia Critic to purse other projects.[30] According to Doug Walker during a Live Q&A, Chambers has stated she is open to appearances as a guest star on the channel if they are interested in doing a video with her.[31][30][32]

Personal life

Chambers is a Type 1 diabetic.[40][41]

In 2016, Chambers revealed she had an experience with online harassment and Cyberbullying.[42] Chambers has since been an advocate on Anti-Cyberbullying.[43]

Chambers began dating musician and multi-instrumentalist Rob Scallon in 2012.[44][45][46] They married in November 2020.[47][48][49] They have collaborated on various projects, such as a 2012 Good Mythical Morning episode introduction[50] and a 2014 cover of Pharrell's "Happy".[51]
