Club career
After coming through their youth ranks Ballantine made his breakthrough at Manchester 62 in the 2013–14 season. He spent 2 years with the first team before joining Lincoln Red Imps for a brief spell, but left without playing a league match in order to study in the UK. While there, he played for Team Northumbria, making his first start for them in a 3–0 win over Hebburn Town in February 2017.[1] Upon his return to Gibraltar, he joined Gibraltar Phoenix, but rejoined Manchester 62 after one season after Phoenix folded in 2019. Ballantine spent 4 years back with the Red Devils before moving to FCB Magpies after a successful loan period. In August 2024, he moved again, this time to Lynx, making his debut on 2 November in a 2-1 win against Lions Gibraltar.[2]
International career
After several years of call-ups, Ballantine made his international debut at the age of 27 on 19 June 2023 against the Republic of Ireland[3]
