Wikipedia & Me
Introduction
Being raised up in the remote hinterlands of rural Madhya Pradesh, and further in the urban agglomeration of Nagpur, I have personally experienced a digital divide that bifurcates the society and restricts the havenots to gain liable & authentic knowledge on the internet. Thus I decided to join the global community of Wikipedians, to make small contributions from my side to help bridge this digital divide, and to help fulfill Wikipedia's commitment to make Sum of all Human Knowledge freely accessible to every member of humanity.
परिचय
ग्रामीण मध्य प्रदेश, भारत के दूरवर्ती इलाकों, तथा आगे चल नागपुर, महाराष्ट्र, भारत के शहरी वातावरण मे जीवन व्यतीत करते हुए मैंने व्यक्तिगत रूप से समाज को विभाजित करने वाले एक डिजिटल डिवाइड का अनुभव किया है, जो इंटरनेट पर उत्तरदायी और प्रामाणिक ज्ञान हासिल करने में बाधा डालता है। इसी कारणवश मैंने विकिपीडिया के वैश्विक समुदाय में शामिल होने का निर्णय लिया, जिससे इस डिजिटल डिवाइड को पाटने में तीव्रता लाई जा साके, एंव मानवता के सारे हासील ज्ञान को हर एक मनुष्य की पहुँच में लाने की विकिपीडिया की प्रतिबद्धता को जल्द से जल्द पूर्ण करने में मद्द की जा सके।
