- 1981: seems to be the final season of this circuit. McCormack states (WoPG 1981) he expected new tournaments in Brazil, Venezuela & Colombia in addition to the six existing ones for 1982; however the Chilean & Colombian opens weren't held in 1982.
- 1987: Meeting to avoid clashes of dates for bigger events in South America.
- 1991: New tour launched, the "Tour Sudaméricano" or "South American Tour"
- 2000: Tour rebranded as the "Tour de las Américas"
