Avi Nieves is a teen screenwriter based in the United States. He is known for his screenplay awards in contests predominantly against adults. As of 2023, Avi has begun reaching out to management and production companies for representation.
Screenplays & Awards
Avi wrote his first short screenplay Ashes in October-December of 2021. It follows a young man, Rubin, who is confronted by his traumatized Jewish grandmother. Ashes was a Finalist at Siren by the Sea Film and Screenwriting Competition. [1]
In late January, Avi began writing Civil Disobedience. It centers around Rob, a journalist who gets caught up in a scandal involving local police and a social justice group calling for reform. [2] https://newyorkscriptawards.com/winners/2022</ref>
In July 2022 Avi explored the idea of creating a drama-action script. In August he started writing Violent Forces. It follows Jose, a former mercenary, who fights to survive the day as a security guard in a volatile, Yakuza-filled Philadelphia hospital.
