Rober 'Mike' Crosley (24 February 1920 – 20 June 2010) was a British flying ace of the Royal Navy (RN) during the Second World War. He was credited with five aerial victories.

Early life

Robert Michael Crosley, known as Mike, was born on 24 February 1920.[1]

Second World War

In May 1943, Crosley was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for "bravery and distinguished services during the operations which led to the landing of the Allied Armies in North Africa".[2]

In August 1945 his "determination and address in air attacks on targets in Japan" was recognised with a Bar to his DSC.[3]

Postwar service

He received the Queen's Commendation for Valuable Services in the Air in the 1955 New Year Honours.[4]

He retired from the RN in February 1970.[5]
