⚠

Thanks for uploading File:TiburonChallengerLogo2019.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of non-free use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:31, 3 October 2025 (UTC)

Arbitration

  • After a motion, arbitration enforcement page protections no longer need to be logged in the AELOG. A bot now automatically posts protections at WP:AELOG/P. To facilitate this bot, protection summaries must include a link to the relevant CT page (e.g. [[WP:CT/BLP]]), and you will receive talk page reminders if you forget to specify the contentious topic but otherwise indicate it is an AE action.

User:Roxy the folf does not appear to be vandalism

Hi! I removed your G3 tag because I don't think it's vandalism. To me, it looks like a fairly reasonable introduction for someone who is trans and a furry. QwertyForest (talk) 18:14, 12 October 2025 (UTC)

@QwertyForest, this is a page intended to harass Roxy the dog. Please leave the CSD reviewing to administrators. AntiCompositeNumber (they/them) (talk) 18:24, 12 October 2025 (UTC)
Ok. If the page was made for harassment, would it be eligible for G10? If so, it would clear up confusion. QwertyForest (talk) 18:26, 12 October 2025 (UTC)

ArbCom 2025 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2025 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 1 December 2025. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2025 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:38, 18 November 2025 (UTC)

Articles for Creation backlog drive

Hello AntiCompositeNumber:

WikiProject Articles for creation is holding a month long Backlog Drive in December!
The goal of this drive is to reduce the backlog of unreviewed drafts to less than half a month of outstanding reviews from the current 2+ months. Bonus points will be given for reviewing drafts that have been waiting more than 30 days. The drive is running from 1 December 2025 through 31 December 2025.

You may find Category:AfC pending submissions by age or other categories and sorting helpful.

Barnstars will be given out as awards at the end of the drive.
There is a backlog of over 3000 pages, so start reviewing drafts. We're looking forward to your help! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 06:07, 23 November 2025 (UTC)

Technical news

  • Starting on November 4, the IP addresses of logged-out editors are no longer being publicly displayed. Instead, they will have a temporary account associated with their edits.
  • Administrators will now find that Special:MergeHistory is now significantly more flexible about what it can merge. It can now merge sections taken from the middle of the history of the source (rather than only the start) and insert revisions anywhere in the history of the destination page (rather than only the start). Happy holidays!

A golden Wikipedia logo with stars, balloons, and the words "New Year"
Happy holidays and a prosperous 2026!

ACN, it is always a joy to hang out in voice chat together, where you share your for all intents and purposes infinite wisdom about Wikimedia affairs. I really enjoyed hanging out at WCNA together, even if that weekend was full of... you know. Yeah. Here's to Wikimania Paris and WCNA Edmonton. I don't think I ever got to tell you how much I love {{User:AntiCompositeNumber/User ADHD}}—a fantastic user box which I proudly display. Thank you for everything over the past year, and I look forward to more fun in the new year! Happy holidays :)

Administrators' newsletter – February 2026

News and updates for administrators from the past month (January 2026).

Arbitration

  • Due to the result of a recent motion, a rough consensus of administrators at the arbitration enforcement noticeboard may impose an expanded topic ban on Israel, Israelis, Jews, Judaism, Palestine, Palestinians, Islam, and/or Arabs, if an editor's Arab-Israeli conflict topic ban is determined to be insufficient to prevent disruption. At least one diff per area expanded into should be cited.
