Annotated Bibliography and Article Outline

@ChKaa:

I wasn’t able to read your annotated bibliography or article outline because they have not yet been published on Wikipedia! Not only will you be missing out on my feedback, but your classmates will also be unable to provide their inputs.

@ChKaa: Thanks for getting your bibliography and outline finished and published to your Wikipedia sandboxes. It is helpful to see what work you've done on your article and what your plans are for continuing to contribute to the article.

This is a comprehensive bibliography, and it's good to see how you are drawing together a wide range of sources and building upon your prior classes & experience to compile a set of crucial information for your article. Your assessment of the sources is good and makes a clear case for why they are significant. You do have a lot of foundational/theoretical texts, many of which are key theories in the field. As you work on the article, you may find that some sections of the article get highly technical and theoretical, and it may be useful to supplement some of these main sources with additional secondary sources (i.e. other publications that are, say, applying Butler, Crenshaw, or Stryker's theories). I wouldn't worry about going out right away to find these sources, but just keep this in mind as you are working on the article itself.

In terms of your outline, you're laying out a good structure for the article. As we had discussed, one of the main contributions that you may be making is improving the organization of the current article to present information in a clear way. One thing that I'm not entirely sure on from your outline is how much of each section you'll be writing from scratch and how much will be able to be re-arranged from what is already in the article. Just make sure that you are setting out a reasonable amount of work for yourself, and if you are finding that you may actually need to write *huge* amounts of text from scratch, it may make sense to scale back the scope of your work to focus on just 1 or 2 sections instead.

One additional suggestion -- as you are working on your article, be sure to make small incremental changes with each edit. If you publish a huge number of changes all in one go, it makes it much more difficult for other Wikipedians to assess your work and make changes (or even revert) just small incremental sections, and could result in large swaths of what you've done getting changed all at once. So try to rearrange just a few sections at a time and work gradually at the overall article.
