I've started a thread on the article Talk page to discuss your edit. You'll need to see if there's any consensus in favor of the major addition you want to make to this Good Article's lead section. The basic problem with the addition is that it's making an argument about the future--which, however well sourced, is not the purpose of the lead section, which is to summarize the article's text with "appropriate weight."
