There is a ClueBot NG Review Interface which can be found at User:ClueBot NG. within the interface itself you are given edits to which ClueBot NG has reverted, and asks whether it was Constructive, Vandalism, or Skip. I noticed pressing arrow keys would go to the next edit but i was unsure what i did (did i mark it as constructive, vandalism, or skip?). This is a bit strange, but it seems that https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Samson_Option&action=edit&oldid=1320371614 (the newest revision that is older than age) has duplicated section headers (e.g. 2 x == References ==).

When the section contents in compared against the current it doesn't match, basically the "first" Resources section (on the old revision) is being compared rather than the "second".

This was "fixed" in https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Samson_Option&diff=1341702809&oldid=1320371614.

I think there are 2 solutions to this;

1. wait until April then the next edit will be older than age

2. use archive now for the current sections

Hello! I'm having a problem with ClueBotIII on this page. I manually archived some old threads which for some reason had not been automatically archived, putting them in a new page for the year 2021 here. A new "2021" link showed up on the talk page, but it's out of chronological order. Could you please help me get it into the correct place in the list of years? Thanks in advance. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:ClueBot_III/Indices/Talk:Playboy is generated via https://github.com/cluebotng/cluebot3/blob/main/lib/bot.php#L414 which uses the order returned via the API.

As the 2021 was created after 2022/2023 it will end up at the end.

In this case it could be sorted in code, but given the archive pages are not necessarily sequentially named this isn't a very easy thing to fix for the general case. - Damian Zaremba ^{(talk • contribs)} 13:20, 21 March 2026 (UTC)

See User talk:~2026-18366-2 - with this edit, ClueBot added a warning to a talk page and duplicated the section heading. Do we think the bot could be updated to, like Twinkle, detect existing talk page headers and if the appropriate headers already exists, it posts under that header instead of creating a new one? Currently the warnings are done using subst of https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:ClueBot_NG/Warnings/Warning i.e. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:ClueBot_NG/Warnings/Vandal1

Which is appended to the current page contents, changing it to find a relevant section would require re-working the warning logic quite a bit.

I'd say it's not significant no, but I'd also argue it's not a minor issue as duplicate talk headings can make direct links tricky. Perhaps we can borrow some code from Twinkle to add the headers programmatically instead of as part of a substituted warning? Alternatively, if a duplicate header is detected we could set the second one to (for example) "March 2026 (2)" Danners430 _{tweaks made} 13:24, 21 March 2026 (UTC)

Duplicate headers have actually been raised numerous times over the years. It's a thing that dates back to the original ClueBot.

@Gråbergs Gråa Sång: I think that's correct. minarchthreads=3 tells the archiver to wait until there are three or more threads to be archived, which is what it did. Does ClueBot III use |minarchthreads= or |minthreadstoarchive=? The documentation indicates the former is used, however {{Talk header/archivebotparse}} has the line:

|minarchthreads |minthreadstoarchive = {{tmpv|{{{2|{{FULLPAGENAME}}}}}|User:ClueBot III/ArchiveThis|{{{cfg|1}}}|minthreadstoarchive}}

This indicates that {{tmpv}} is looking for |minthreadstoarchive= not |minarchthreads=, just as it does for Lowercase sigmabot III. What parameter name does the bot actually use (regardless of the documentation)? If ClueBot III does use |minarchthreads=, then I think I (or someone else) will need to put in an edit request to fix {{Talk header/archivebotparse}} (or, if someone with sufficient perms is reading this, they could edit it directly, if needed.). – Scyrme (talk) 19:49, 24 March 2026 (UTC)

The bot logic doesn't look at minthreadstoarchive (also not in the docs).

minarchthreads is used to delay archiving until there are at least that number of threads pending archiving, that is in the docs.
