Biographies of women
Hi there, Faldi00. I see you have recently been creating biographies of women. If you intend to continue along these lines, you might like to join WikiProject Women in Red where we are trying to improve coverage of women on Wikipedia. You can sign up under "New registrations" on Wikipedia:WikiProject Women in Red/New members. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 11:54, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for signing up, Faldi00, and welcome to Women in Red. We look forward to your biographies of politicians and military figures. In this connection, you might find it useful to look through our Ten Simple Rules. I've taken the liberty of adding the WiR user box to your user page. Please let me know if you run into any difficulties or need assistance. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 11:23, 29 March 2024 (UTC)
- Dear Ipigott
- Thanks for putting WiR userbox into my page. I am delighted that I participate in this project hoping that it will increase the women pages from various background on Wikipedia. I have a question, Will WiR hold any competition on creating Wikipedia page? I saw that several years ago, there were competitions held by WiR and the winners earned reward.
- Best

- @Faldi00: At the moment, we have a challenge which encourages contributors to add one new biography of a woman per week over a three-month period. Virtual recognition will be given but there will be no physical prizes. You can find details here. We are now completing the first three months but there will be a new opportunity from 1 April. We have also been discussing the possibility of organizing other contests but as yet we have no concrete plans. If you think contests are a good idea, you might like to suggest something on the WiR talk page. Happy editing!--Ipigott (talk) 06:37, 30 March 2024 (UTC)
