Why do you insist on lying about Betty Robinson? My sources are clearly better than yours, and backed up by facts!! Here is the list of US 100m finals participants in the 1928 Olympics. Betty was NOT the only one. She was the only FEMALE. Even Wikipedia shows the US mens 100m participants. You are the reason people don't trust Wikipedia anymore. Congratulations. https://www.olympics.com/en/olympic-games/amsterdam-1928/results/athletics/100m-men

The issue is not with your claim, it's that you didn't properly cite it in your Wikipedia edit. You are allowed to add the word "female" to the sentence, you just have to also cite the two sources you just linked me. The Wikipedia editor has a button to do that. fx (talk) 16:21, 2 January 2026 (UTC)

Libelous allegations

Flexagoon has been repeatedly adding information to pages for the purpose of providing misinformation. ~2026-4679 (talk) 21:14, 21 January 2026 (UTC)

I wasn't adding anything "for the purpose of providing misinformation". I reverted your edits while doing recent change patrol because they seemed like content blanking to me and I didn't find your edit summary clear enough. I can confirm that my goal wasn't slander because this is the first time in my life I hear about AJC or Israel Singer. 🍅 fx (talk) 21:27, 21 January 2026 (UTC)

Ghostface

You know Ghostface from Scream ain't really a character but an identity Michael Myers goes alongside Jason Voorhees and Freddy Krueger they're like the top 3. ~2026-89866-7 (talk) 00:03, 10 February 2026 (UTC)

I'd say it's still recognizable as a separate character, and it is supported by the sources that sentence cites. If you disagree, feel free to discuss at Talk:Michael Myers (Halloween). 🍅 fx (talk) 00:05, 10 February 2026 (UTC)

Rollback granted

Hi Flexagoon. After reviewing your request, I have enabled rollback on your account. Please keep the following things in mind while using rollback:

  • Being granted rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle or Ultraviolet. It just adds a [rollback] button next to a page's latest live revision. It does not grant you any additional "status" on Wikipedia, nor does it change how Wikipedia policies apply to you.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear and unambiguous cases of vandalism only. Never use rollback to revert good faith edits. For more information about when rollback is appropriate, see Wikipedia:Rollback § When to use rollback.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war, and it should never be used in a content-related dispute to restore the page to your preferred revision. If rollback is abused or used for this purpose or any other inappropriate purpose, the permission will be revoked.
  • Use common sense. If you're not sure about something, ask!

I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, and feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into trouble or have any questions about appropriate use of rollback. If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. For information on rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin) and Wikipedia:Rollback. Good luck and thanks! EdJohnston (talk) 02:58, 12 February 2026 (UTC)

While reviewing your contributions, I had some trouble because your signature is different from your user name. That might be something you could look into. The advice about signatures is at WP:SIGNATURE. Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 02:58, 12 February 2026 (UTC)

Question from Jeff78matthews (23:34, 13 March 2026)

I've always looked to Wikipedia for answers it's always been so helpful to me just want to give back a little bit and contribute where I can where would I find the bio box ? Kinda wanted to practice on my own page before doing anything in case I make a rookie mistake lol --Jeff78matthews (talk) 23:34, 13 March 2026 (UTC)

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! I assume by the "bio box" you mean your user page? If so, you can find it at User:Jeff78matthews (when you click on this, it will ask you to create it).
You can quickly reach it by clicking on your username in the top panel. If you have the "beginner dashboard" enabled, this will open your homepage with suggested tasks, but it will have a "user page" tab at the top.
You can also create any subpages you want under your user page. For example, it is common to have a personal sandbox (User:Jeff78matthews/sandbox) to practice with editing or test things out. Keep in mind though that there are some restrictions, for example, you're not allowed to use Wikipedia user pages as a free hosting for your blog.
You can read more about user pages at Wikipedia:User pages. I also recommend you try The Wikipedia Adventure, which is an interactive tutorial that explains the basics of editing Wikipedia (only works on desktop). I've left a welcome message with more useful links at your talk page.
Good luck! 🍅 fx (talk) 23:48, 13 March 2026 (UTC)

Question from Reylicinthelette (11:05, 14 March 2026)

Hello! I’m sorry, I’m very new. Please tell me, how do I add a citation? --Reylicinthelette (talk) 11:05, 14 March 2026 (UTC)

Hello! If you're using the visual editor, there should be a button with a quotation symbol at the top. Just click that and paste a link/DOI/ISBN of what you want to cite.
If you're still confused, you can find a more comprehensive guide at Introduction to referencing with VisualEditor.
I also recommend you try The Wikipedia Adventure, which is an interactive tutorial that explains the basics of editing Wikipedia (only works on desktop). I've left a welcome message with more useful links at your talk page.

Hello! Since the Artem Mytarev page is about you, you have a conflict of interest regarding that page, and you shouldn't edit it directly. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked, which you've already been warned about. Instead, you can submit edit requests to the page using this guide.
To add a photo, read Wikipedia:A picture of you, which explains which images can be used on Wikipedia and how you can allow your own photo to be used here. Then you can create an edit request and just link the photo in it. 🍅 fx (talk) 11:57, 16 March 2026 (UTC)

Question from Reylicinthelette (06:36, 27 March 2026)

Hello again, hi, sorry. For general blanket statements, from where do you draw sources? Do general statements even need sources? Eg-"Most Arthurian legend was forgotten during this time period." How would you cite a source for that, and would it even need a source provided the section or sentences before it have appropriately cited the sources? Sorry if this sounds confusing. --Reylicinthelette (talk) 06:36, 27 March 2026 (UTC)

Hi! I don't have the full context of the article, but the sentence doesn't seem to be a "general statement" to me, it sounds pretty specific. How do you know most Arthurian legends were forgotten? And how do you know it was specifically during this period? If this fact is true, you (or whoever wrote it) must've learned it from somewhere, so there would be a source.
As for the last question, that depends on what the rest of the section is about. If they are also about most of the legends being forgotten, and they cite appropriate sources, then you don't have to add another citation to the same source. Otherwise, the amount of sources present for other claims in the article is not relevant to this claim. 🍅 fx (talk) 11:55, 27 March 2026 (UTC)

Question from Artyjaneh (11:00, 28 March 2026)

Hello I understand you may be able to help me. I uploaded three paragraphs about Morley Adams and added them to crossword history but they have been removed. I added citations throughout. I thought I was careful about the tone I used. Can you explain why and help me make adjustments so that it is an acceptable addition? And where is it now? What happens when it is removed. Many thanks --Artyjaneh (talk) 11:00, 28 March 2026 (UTC)

@Artyjaneh hello! I can see that your changes were reverted in this edit with the edit summary sorry but Wikipedia is not the place for this; we don't publish new findings, only things that reputable outlets have covered.
I assume the person who reverted your edit considered it to be original research, which is not allowed on Wikipedia. However, if you disagree, it would be better to first discuss it directly with them at their talk page: User talk:HJ Mitchell.
As for your last question, your changes are still in the page edit history as well as in your contribution history. 🍅 fx (talk) 11:15, 28 March 2026 (UTC)

Question from Ethik1970 (10:12, 6 April 2026)

Hello, may i know how can I start publish a wikipedia page? --Ethik1970 (talk) 10:12, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

Hello @Ethik1970!
It can be pretty difficult to create an article as a new user, which is why it's generally not recommended. However, it's definitely not impossible.
The main thing you really need to be familiar with are the notability guidelines. You have to read that page and check if the topic of the article you want to write fits them. If it doesn't, you unfortunately can't write an article on that topic.
If it does, great! You can just get straight to writing. Help:Your first article gives a very clear step by step guide on creating and writing an article which you can easily follow.
What do you want the page to be about? 🍅 fx (talk) 10:51, 6 April 2026 (UTC)

Hello, I assume you mean the sandbox? Your sandbox is a place to practice editing safely without the risk of accidentally breaking a real article. You can find yours at User:100and25/sandbox, or by clicking the human icon in the top right corner and choosing "Sandbox".
Keep in mind that your sandbox is still a public page, and anyone can access it. This means you shouldn't put any private information or anything that violates Wikipedia's rules there. 🍅 fx (talk) 13:13, 7 April 2026 (UTC)

Question from Ojonsuamajestynews (23:54, 8 April 2026)

How I complete page Creation including adding my photos --Ojonsuamajestynews (talk) 23:54, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

Hello @Ojonsuamajestynews. First of all, it seems like you're currently trying to write an article on your user page. That is not allowed. I moved your article to Draft:Ojonsua Majesty News, where you can improve it and submit for review by pressing the button at the top.
In its current form, the article will get rejected, because it contains no sources and doesn't prove that the subject is notable. You must get familiar with at least WP:42 before trying to write an article.
It also currently seems to be LLM generated, which is not allowed on Wikipedia either. 🍅 fx (talk) 12:39, 9 April 2026 (UTC)

Can I use a different language Wikipedia article as my source when translating or how do i translate if not --Bodenpferd (talk) 23:15, 8 April 2026 (UTC)

Hello! Wikipedia itself is not an acceptable source, so you can't cite Wikipedia articles. However, you are allowed to just cite the same sources that the foreign language article cites. Keep in mind that English Wikipedia often has much stricter rules than other language Wikipedias about what sources are acceptable and what topics even deserve an article—not everything you may find on a foreign Wikipedia can be added to English Wikipedia. You can see WP:TRANSLATE for more information on translating articles. 🍅 fx (talk) 12:27, 9 April 2026 (UTC)

Lean Back (band) - Teahouse

I'm using a translation tool to help me communicate here because English isn't my first language, so stop dismissing my arguments as 'AI spam'.

These are MY arguments and MY research. By hiding my post, you are preventing other editors from seeing the actual evidence (ISBN/ISSN) I provided for this band.

And why would you even think that this text is AI generated, because some user User:ThatTrainGuy1945 wrote a brilliant comment asking me why some "random" text is bolded? Wow what a smart question really.

JonekX (talk) 12:31, 10 April 2026 (UTC)

@JonekX
you are preventing other editors from seeing the actual evidence (ISBN/ISSN) I provided for this band.
As you've been told many times already, the presence of an ISBN or ISSN means absolutely nothing and doesn't make a source suitable. I'm not involved with the review of your draft in any way though, so you should continue your discussion at the Article for Creation helpdesk for that.
And why would you even think that this text is AI generated
Because it very much fit the Wikipedia:Signs of AI writing, such as WP:AIATTR and WP:AIBOLD. 🍅 fx (talk) 12:42, 10 April 2026 (UTC)
Oh nice, he tagged me.
Well, it was pretty obvious you used AI, and I asked you why random things were bolded (see Flexagoon's links above). I have no idea why you are being hostile. Don't use AI to talk or generate text. And, like Flexagoon said, "the presence of an ISBN or ISSN means absolutely nothing and doesn't make a source suitable."

Question from SupermanSmith (23:30, 30 April 2026)

Hello. How do I create a new Wikipedia page for a musician? --SupermanSmith (talk) 23:30, 30 April 2026 (UTC)

Hello @SupermanSmith. Who do you want to create an article about? English Wikipedia has very strict inclusion criteria about musicians which most artists don't fit, even popular ones. To have an article, there need to be independent articles about the musician (interviews don't count), or some other indicators of notability, like receiving a major award or releasing albums on a big record label. You can see WP:NMUSIC for more information. If your subject doesn't fit those criteria yet, that means you can't make an article about them.
Additionally, from your user page it seems like you're a musician yourself. If the article you want to create is about yourself, note that this is strongly discouraged, even in case you do fit the notability guidelines. See WP:Autobiography. 🍅 fx (talk) 11:03, 1 May 2026 (UTC)

Hi there, I prepared an article about two months ago (Fuzu), which was approved soon after publication, but now yesterday moved back to draft state based on arguments that were very loose and unsubstantiated. Every article can naturally always be improved, but there were no factual errors or reasons why the article would not be relevant to Wikipedia audience (further validated by the page visit numbers). Any advice on how to get the article approved again. --Juhinkka (talk) 04:33, 5 May 2026 (UTC)

Hello @Juhinkka.
[...] which was approved soon after publication
Your draft was never approved before, it was just moved to a regular article from draftspace by a user who is not a draft reviewer.
based on arguments that were very loose and unsubstantiated
Which of the arguments do you consider unsubstantiated? From what I can see,
... further validated by the page visit numbers
See WP:POPULARPAGE. A page being popular and having a lot of views doesn't mean it's within the scope of Wikipedia.
Any advice on how to get the article approved again.
  1. If any part of the page is written by an LLM, rewrite it from scratch by yourself, without using any AI.
  2. Read WP:NCORP and find sources to the page to pass those guidelines. If you can find them, add them to the page and submit the draft again. If you can't, the organization doesn't pass Wikipedia's criteria and can't have an article (yet, until there is enough reliable coverage of it).
🍅 fx (talk) 09:20, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
Thank you @Flexagoon, I will work on the improvements. Juhinkka (talk) 11:14, 7 May 2026 (UTC)

@Mr swordfish hi, I mostly just thought the article needs general proofreading for grammar, because there were plenty of mistakes; but also, different parts of the list were all in different formats, so rewording them for consistency and uniform style would be great. 🍅 fx (talk) 14:30, 16 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from ColoursDrippingOff (14:05, 21 May 2026)

After I make an edit, it shows on my contributions page a positive or negative number for example +83 or -12. What does this mean? --ColoursDrippingOff (talk) 14:05, 21 May 2026 (UTC)

Hi @ColoursDrippingOff. That number shows the change in the page size in bytes from your edit. For example, +83 means that you added 83 bytes of text to the page. An English letter is 1 byte, so for English text it's usually roughly the same as the number of letters you added. If the number is shown in bold, it means you added/removed more than 500 bytes. You can also look here for a guide on how to hide those numbers if you don't want to see them. 🍅 fx (talk) 14:46, 21 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from GnarliestTriangles on Wikipedia:Neutral point of view/FAQ (17:58, 25 May 2026)

Hi there! Hope I’m doing this correctly. :)

I’ve been trying to get a better grip on how to do tone revisions and browsed through the NPOV explanation and common objections to it.

One thing I’ve noticed in the suggested tone revisions (and that’s also brought up in the FAQ) is the question of deleting biased content. For a fair few pages with suggested tone revisions, I felt the only real option was to delete near-full sentences (or even paragraphs) rather than attempt to rewrite them, as they seemed to be pretty clearly promotional to me. See for example: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Mimi_Jones&diff=prev&oldid=1355839658 or https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Fred_Gruen&diff=prev&oldid=1355097675

Now I know Wikipedia urges its community members to “be bold” but I keep finding myself shying away from tone revisions as it feels rude/intrusive to delete so much text - even if it seems appropriate.

In short I guess my question is: is it common for tone revisions to feel like they need a fair bit of scrapping? --GnarliestTriangles (talk) 17:58, 25 May 2026 (UTC)

Hi @GnarliestTriangles. The changes seem perfectly fine to me, I wouldn't even say you deleted "so much text", I've seen whole article sections being removed because they were entirely promotional. It's not rude to do so at all—the "be bold" rule exists for a reason! The Manual of Style also has a list of words to watch, if you haven't seen it already, it would be pretty useful to check for doing NPOV tone revisions (especially the first section). Removing any sentences that match that list is usually totally fine and only makes the article better (though, of course, apply your judgement). 🍅 fx (talk) 22:05, 25 May 2026 (UTC)

Question from Meagan.Remmes (17:50, 5 June 2026)

Hi, mentor! One of the pages I came across as an editor was for American Medical Response. I noticed the Parent page in its Infobox was Global Medical Response, but it redirects to the same American Medical Response wiki page. How would I go about correcting this and building out a new wiki page for Global Medical Response? Thanks! --Meagan.Remmes (talk) 17:50, 5 June 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Meagan.Remmes! For now, you can just remove the link from the company name in the infobox and leave it as plain text.
To add an article about GMR, you need to edit the redirect page and replace it with the article content. To do that, first click on Global Medical Response. You will see a popup saying "Redirected from Global Medical Response". If you then click on the link in that popup, you will end up on the actual redirect page, which you can edit as you wish.
However! Wikipedia has very strict inclusion criteria for companies. Before attempting to write a new article, make sure you get very familiar with those rules and check whether the company actually passes them. You must also be familiar with Wikipedia's verifiability policy when writing.
There's a chance that the company doesn't meet the inclusion criteria. In that case, the best option is to just leave it as a redirect and remove the link from the infobox of the AMR page. 🍅 fx (talk) 18:08, 5 June 2026 (UTC)

Question from Clint O'Shea (14:49, 9 June 2026)

can i submit a review request for an artical i wrote on my sandbox --Clint O'Shea (talk) 14:49, 9 June 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Clint O'Shea. There is already an article about the topic on Wikipedia: Russo-Ukrainian war. You can't submit a new article about a topic that already exists.
Since that is a heated political topic, you're only allowed to edit that article directly once you get extended confirmed rights by having some contributing experience. However, if you have some changes you want to make to that article, you can propose them via the Edit request wizard. 🍅 fx (talk) 15:07, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
i wrote a whole brand new artical, again i have no clue where the subbmit button is Clint O'Shea (talk) 15:41, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
@Clint O'Shea I moved your page to Draft:Candidatus Desulforudis audaxviator Subterranean Lineage B and added a submit button. However, please note that using AI to generate any text is strictly forbidden, so your article will most likely be rejected for being AI generated and having almost no citations (In fact, being AI generated is technically a valid reason to just delete your article directly, although I won't do that)
I recommend you contribute to existing articles for a while before trying to write your own, to get some experience first. 🍅 fx (talk) 15:46, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
its not ai, i write on google docs then paste it on the wiki becuse i dont like the layout of the wiki it feels to old Clint O'Shea (talk) 15:49, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
@Clint O'Shea I didn't call it AI because of the formatting, but because the references are completely made up, as well as some of the article titles in the "See also" section. 🍅 fx (talk) 15:51, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
@Clint O'Shea the new references you just added are still all made up and don't exist. Please stop trying to use AI to generate an article. 🍅 fx (talk) 16:03, 9 June 2026 (UTC)
im not, im using info i randomly find on the web Clint O'Shea (talk) 16:42, 9 June 2026 (UTC)

Question from TitaniumSales (21:02, 22 June 2026)

How can I make Wikipedia for my new business --TitaniumSales (talk) 21:02, 22 June 2026 (UTC)

Hi @TitaniumSales. Wikipedia only covers notable businesses, which means reliable journals or publications have written articles about your business without your involvement. Most companies don't meet this criterion, but especially not new ones. It's not possible to have a Wikipedia article for a new business that nobody is writing about yet. 🍅 fx (talk) 07:58, 23 June 2026 (UTC)

late Egyptian physician and nutritionist Diaa El-Din Shalaby Mohamed El-Awadi. He was a consultant in anesthesiology and intensive care who gained prominence for promoting a controversial nutritional diet known as the "Tayyibat system". Authorities and medical bodies had previously raised concerns that his dietary protocol contradicted established medical science and posed public health risks. He passed away in Dubai in April 2026, with an official medical report later confirming his death was due to natural causes, specifically a sudden heart attack. How do we edit the Victoria Cruz page to add her death date of June 24 2026? --Sarahstansell (talk) 11:56, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

Hi @Sarahstansell. The page is not protected, you can just open it and click the "edit" button in the top to edit it yourself. However, note that you also need to add a reliable source for the death date—any link to a reputable report about hear death would be enough. You can add a citation by clicking a button with a quotation symbol in the article editor, then pasting in the link to your source. 🍅 fx (talk) 12:01, 29 June 2026 (UTC)

You're invited to the Mentorship noticeboard

Hi, Flexagoon. You are cordially invited to the brand new Wikipedia:Mentorship noticeboard! I get the impression that we mentors are each toiling in our own cubbyhole or hamster wheel, as the case may be, quietly answering mentee questions with little to no interaction with other mentors. Question from GatliffHeritage (11:36, 24 June 2026)

Hello Flexagoon, and thank you for offering mentorship.

I have recently created a draft article at Draft:Charles Gatliff, covering the long-serving secretary of the Metropolitan Association for Improving the Dwellings of the Industrious Classes.

The draft is based primarily on archival material (including London Archives records) and contemporary published sources. I have aimed to keep the tone neutral and to avoid interpretive claims, but would welcome any advice on whether the sourcing and framing are appropriate for Wikipedia, particularly given the use of primary material.

If you have time to take a look, I would be grateful for any feedback. --GatliffHeritage (talk) 11:36, 24 June 2026 (UTC)

Hi @GatliffHeritage! The draft looks good in terms of content, however:
  1. The current sources don't seem to be sufficient to include the subject on Wikipedia. You should familiarize yourself with WP:NBIO and find sources that pass the guideline. Essentially, there should be in-depth independent coverage of the person — simple birth records or passing mentions are not enough, neither are things written by the subject himself. I have declined your draft for now, but you can resubmit it if you find and add sufficient sources.
  2. I see your username is "GatliffHeritage" — do you have any connection to Charles Gatliff or the Gatliff family (eg. you are a relative or employed by them)? If you do, you must disclose your conflict of interest on your user page, as well as on the draft page.
🍅 fx (talk) 11:47, 25 June 2026 (UTC)
Flexagoon, thank you for your review and for the helpful comments.
Regarding notability WP:NBIO, I have revisited the sourcing and would like to clarify that the draft is supported by multiple independent contemporary sources that provide non-trivial coverage of Charles Gatliff, including:
  • Obituaries published in the The Law Journal, Solicitors’ Journal, Manchester Courier, and Sanitary Record, which offer biographical accounts of his life and professional activities
  • Reports in periodicals such as The Builder, documenting his participation in organised discussions on housing reform within the Charity Organisation Society
  • Parliamentary records, including his evidence to a House of Commons Select Committee
  • Contemporary publications (e.g. House and Home) describing his work and role within the Metropolitan Association
  • Modern historical studies (e.g. Tarn, Wohl), which discuss his activities within the wider context of Victorian housing reform.
Together, these sources provide substantive and independent coverage of the subject, extending beyond routine mentions or purely primary material, and demonstrate his role as a long-serving secretary and participant in significant discussions on working-class housing provision and the associated housing reform.
In response to your feedback, I have:
  • clarified attribution of contemporary sources
  • ensured that key statements rely on independent coverage rather than passing references
  • strengthened and reorganised the citation structure using standardised named references with page-level links where available
I have revised the draft accordingly and would be grateful if you could review it again. Please let me know if any further changes would be helpful.
Regarding your question about a possible conflict of interest, I confirm that I do not have any personal, familial, or financial connection to Charles Gatliff or the Gatliff family.
Thank you again for your time and consideration. GatliffHeritage (talk) 11:20, 27 June 2026 (UTC)
Hi Flexagoon, I have now completed a major revision of the Draft:Charles Gatliff article following the previous review by Helpful Raccoon. The article has been largerly rewritten with a stronger focus on factual information supported by a wide range of references, as no comprehensive biography of Gatliff appears to exist. I would be very grateful if you could take another look and provide any further feedback. GatliffHeritage (talk) 10:32, 5 July 2026 (UTC)
