Yury Chernavsky (regarding AFD)
Sir, I have been working in LA for the past 13 years, and I have been completely out of participation in any Russian business. Everything in this article is completely true, and I am in the process of providing facts. However, if at this time Wiki feels that they need to remove my information, please feel free to do so following by informing me of your decision. Best Regards, Yury Chernavsky Gcpro1@yahoo.com --GC 10:37, 21 April 2007 (UTC)

- What is it you want to delete? Only administrators can delete pages. GDonato (talk) 15:46, 28 April 2007 (UTC)
- I think he is talking about vandalism (blanking pages).--Cometstyles 16:41, 28 April 2007 (UTC)

I got your message
Yes. I got your message. I often get annoyed with edit conflicts as well, but I know that I have caused edit conflicts as well. This gets annoying. Doesn't it? NHRHS2010 Talk 19:03, 9 May 2007 (UTC)
- What does? Edit conflicts? Sort of, but you can always copy/paste from the box at the bottom. GDonato (talk) 19:05, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

MediaWiki:Blockedtext
Hello, autoblocked and directly blocked now recieve different messages so there is no need to re-include the section you just added. The other message can be found at MediaWiki:Autoblockedtext. Thanks, GDonato (talk) 19:47, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Actually, there is. An editor affected by a range block or a hard IP block will NEVER see MediaWiki:Autoblockedtext. Instead they'll get MediaWiki:Blockedtext and when they post {{unblock}} we'll be unable to do anything because we won't know what their IP address is. Case in point, see Smileydude66 who just got hit by a stale open proxy block. -- Netsnipe ► 19:54, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Ah, thanks, so a logged-in user autoblocked by a hard IP block or IP range block sees MediaWiki:Blockedtext, not the autoblocked one. Is there any particular reason for that? GDonato (talk) 20:01, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
- Good question. I think only the developers can tell you why. -- Netsnipe ► 20:07, 16 May 2007 (UTC)
Is it me...or Vandal Proof?
I noted your comments on the Pamantasan article about something to do with a spam problem. Did you have a message that mentioned blocking spam while you used Vandal Proof for vandal patrol? I'm having that same problem, and I posted this information on a forum about this issue. lwalt
- I'm not using VandalProof, the problem is with the spam blacklist here, something appears to be wrong with it and it is blocking links to external sites that it shouldn't. I replaced the page with an {{inuse}} tag due to the vandalism on it and removed the links affected- I am unsure if the problem is fixed yet. GDonato (talk) 08:19, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

Im freightfully sorry that I lied. Of course I didn't lie but if one wants to bring up the matter months after the argument ended, one has every right to do so. The Pigott Forgeries come to mind. I can't get anything from upload.wikimedia.org (ie no pictures) just happened all of a sudden and has been like this for a while, tried all the regular techniques- anyone got any suggestions? GDonato (talk) 18:18, 31 May 2007 (UTC)
- If you are stuck you could try asking at the Help desk to get a few opinions (make sure you specify your operating system and browser). It could be an ad-blocker, or your browser - try looking around in the settings of those programs I guess.--Commander Keane 18:41, 31 May 2007 (UTC)

Reverting vandalism
I want you to make sure that when you're reverting vandalism, as you did to Disappointment (which itself is a disappointing article), to make sure that you catch all the vandalism—there was much more vandalism that you hadn't reverted far back enough to catch, but I've taken care of it. --Brandon Dilbeck 22:06, 5 June 2007 (UTC)

RJASE1 checkuser
My thoughts about those old accounts was that they are too stale to add, but it might be worth it. The more I think about it, it is odd that TortureIsWrong would create socks that were obviously his (the last two on my list). Both the current two socks are also meant to spoof and discredit TIW, and at least one is RJASE1... quacking? maybe. Feel free to add them if you'd like. Hey
Can I ask what prompted you to do this: . Just curious here, as it's causing a mass uproar in the channel. Kwsn(Ni!) 04:54, 18 June 2007 (UTC)
- I felt that updates were needed as some of the information was out of date. As the edit summary says, revert as needed. I posted a link to the change in the channel earlier with no complaints. Bad uproar? GDonato (talk) 14:43, 18 June 2007 (UTC)

How I revert vandalism
Hi. To revert vandalism, I use the Wikipedia vandalism IRC channel #vandalism-en-wp in conjunction with TWINKLE, a JavaScript script which allows me to revert vandalism very quickly and warn vandals. I am not a bot, although some people seem to think I am. Andrew_pmk | Talk 20:53, 21 June 2007 (UTC)

Do you mean the code or the use of sup/sub? Peace. Spartan-James COMM CONTRIBS 21:51, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- Look at the source. It runs over lines due to the spacing. GDonato (talk) 21:52, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
- Is this any better?
Spartan-James COMM CONTRIBS Or do you suggest I just leave the talk page link on there and get rid of the contribs? I'm kinda new so sorry if I'm getting annoying. Peace
Great I've tidied the code a bit too; try that. GDonato (talk) 22:30, 21 June 2007 (UTC)
