Administrators' newsletter – February 2026
News and updates for administrators from the past month (January 2026).
- Due to the result of a recent motion, a rough consensus of administrators at the arbitration enforcement noticeboard may impose an expanded topic ban on Israel, Israelis, Jews, Judaism, Palestine, Palestinians, Islam, and/or Arabs, if an editor's Arab-Israeli conflict topic ban is determined to be insufficient to prevent disruption. At least one diff per area expanded into should be cited.
- Voting in the 2026 Steward elections started on 06 February 2026 at 14:00 (UTC) and will end on 27 February 2026 at 14:00 (UTC). The confirmation process for current stewards is being held in parallel. You can automatically check your eligibility to vote.
Legal threat by User:God's Truth NZ
Just seen this on User talk:God's Truth NZ. In response to User:Leonidlednev reverting POV fringe edits on Billy Te Kahika, they responded "Can you please provide your credentials and how we can reach you? We would like to serve you legal papers". (version) This seems to be a violation of WP:NLT, so I'm reporting it to you as an administrator. IdiotSavant (talk) 23:53, 17 February 2026 (UTC)
- How does this work? We have added source referenced edits to this page and without explanation Leodite has reverted them.
- We have asked for a point by point explanation about these edits are perceived as FRINGE and why these are reverted. The allegations made on this site about Billy Te Kahika have no counter explanation - we have attempted to provide them with the correct process. You and Leodaite are bullying us for some reason. Please explain. God's Truth NZ (talk) 00:15, 18 February 2026 (UTC)

- Following a motion, remedy 9.1 of the Conduct in deletion-related editing case has been amended to limit TenPoundHammer to one XfD nomination or PROD per 24-hour period.

- Following the 2026 Steward Elections, the following editors have been appointed as stewards: A09, AmandaNP, Barras, Count Count, M7, SHB2000, Teles and VIGNERON.
- An Unreferenced articles backlog drive is taking place in March 2026 to reduce the backlog of articles tagged with {{Unreferenced}}. You can help reduce the backlog by adding citations to these articles. Sign up to participate!
Robert Pollock (Actor)
id love an explanation on how me being Robert's one and only son, is not a reliable enough source in your eyes for me to edit his Wiki to add his legitmate birthday.
I told you i can send you proof if you give me your contact details whether that be Facebook, your email or something else but you fail to acknowledge that.
To me it seems you are on some sort of weird power trip being an editor here.
And id absolutely love to know what your so called 'reliable sources'are that qualify you to edit my fathers page.
An editor that keeps removing legitmate information thats been added by the moat reliable source possible - his son!
Are you using pages like IMBD (who are so useless they've mixed him up with a completely different Robert Pollock), and considering that as a reliable source? Do better, mate... this is absolutely ridiculous. ~2026-15133-97 (talk) 01:43, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
- We require reliable sources meeting our standards (WP:RS) for the birthdates of living people. IMDB is not a reliable source and we are not using information from it, although we link to it as a place where further information which does not meet our standards may be found. The birth year is sourced to Auckland Actors, and it appears you do not disagree with the year. You are welcome to post at the article talk page (Talk:Robert Pollock (actor)) and explain why this is so important to you. If your father cares about this, he can mention his birth date in an interview, and you can post the url of the interview.-Gadfium (talk) 02:00, 15 March 2026 (UTC)
Re: I.S. 061 Leonardo Da Vinci
I think this account may be a sock as well given the name's similarity. Blake Gripling (talk) 08:22, 17 March 2026 (UTC)

This is almost certainly ChronicleBooks885, so a longer block than 31 hours is needed, and the underlying IP should be blocked for block evasion. 45dogs (they/them) (talk page) (contributions) 19:54, 22 March 2026 (UTC)
- @45dogs: Thanks. My block gives time for others more accustomed to dealing with LTAs to take appropriate action. I see they've been reported at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/ChronicleBooks885, so that process is underway.-Gadfium (talk) 21:59, 22 March 2026 (UTC)
