To be exact, I did a basic WP:DILIGENCE search and couldn't find any WP:SIGCOV of him - he is just mentioned as a part of bigger articles about the championship, but this is an article about him, not the championship. However, since I don't know Persian, I am holding off proposing deletion of the article as you might have better sources available.
