Keanumycins
Hi, thanks for the structures of the keanumycins A-C and uploading images of them. Do you happen to have the SMILES or MDL molfiles of the drawings? Btw, what made you decide on the double bond E/Z in the bottom of the drawing? Because when I read the article, they draw it as undefined. Egon Willighagen (talk) 07:26, 5 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Egon Willighagen: It looks like I should have drawn the structures in a way that shows that double bond as having undefined stereochemistry. I'll make the necessary corrections to the images shorty. Thanks for catching that. Here are the SMILES for the three compounds (though they still have the stereochem error that you note).

- Innerstream (talk) 14:20, 7 March 2023 (UTC)
- I have now updated the three images. Innerstream (talk) 14:57, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
Really?
Re: NaOTs and NaO3SPh. What is now depicted is harmless, and such representations will appeal to general readers. The components would separate upon solvation with water, etc. But the article is not about solvates. True, Na+ is often naked.... inside a mass spectrometer.--Smokefoot (talk) 20:12, 18 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Smokefoot: Any time one is depicting the structure of a chemical compound as a two-dimensional line drawing, some details of structure are not going to be conveyed easily. Therefore certain conventions have evolved so that the depictions are understood the same way by different individuals. If you would like to go by what will "appeal to general readers", I think the depiction of a sodium sulfonate as an anion/cation pair will be the most well understood because it is consistent with standard convention. For example, look at the hundreds of files in w:commons:Category:Sodium sulfonates and its subcategories. You would be hard pressed to find any example of a sodium sulfonate depicted with a solid line between oxygen and sodium, which by convention indicates a fully covalent bond. However, if you feel strongly that the original images in those two articles are better, I won't object if you restore them. Also, I removed the disputed template for those images because that template seem best suited for uncontested situations. Innerstream (talk) 21:04, 18 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for taking the time to write a response. No big deal. I confess to be slightly preoccupied by non-nakedness of ions, and very sick of people drawing computer images that show naked little spheres for ions. But you are probably correct about conventions as well as the compromises we all make with drawings. --Smokefoot (talk) 23:13, 18 March 2023 (UTC)
Lysine acetylsalicylate
Thanks for the drugbox! The image of the lysine component is missing a carbon in its side-chain. DMacks (talk) 20:42, 8 June 2023 (UTC)
- @DMacks: Thanks for catching that. Since you're a Commons administrator, can you please delete File:Lysine acetylsalicylate.svg and File:Lysine acetylsalicylate v2.svg. They are both incorrect and there is already a correct alternative. Innerstream (talk) 12:54, 9 June 2023 (UTC)

Hello, Innerstream. Thank you for your work on Sulanemadlin. Klbrain, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
A chemical entity with an interesting structure that has entered clinical trials is certainly work including. It's a short article, for now, but focussed. Adding a little more 'bad news' about the side effects of the drug would also be helpful (I've started that).

Hi Innerstream. Thank you for your work on Hyzetimibe. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Thanks for helpfully adding this stub; it's helpful to have, particularly for a compound that is in clinical used (at least in China). The CAS number didn't work for me, and I couldn't find an entry on searching that database.
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
Klbrain (talk) 13:30, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
- @Klbrain: Thanks for reviewing the articles I recently created. In the template {{Infobox drug}}, the "CAS_number" field links to the Common Chemistry website, which consists of only a small subset of all CAS numbers and therefore it is not a good source for verification of CAS numbers. I have verified this particular CAS number (and all other CAS numbers I have added) directly with the Chemical Abstracts Service database itself. Innerstream (talk) 18:20, 24 April 2024 (UTC)

Hi Innerstream. Thank you for your work on Surufatinib. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Hi Innerstream. Thank you for your work on Hetrombopag. Another editor, Klbrain, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:
Thanks for helpfully starting this page. As it is a therapeutically used drug, it's best to use it INN; that's also the name that the references mostly use. There is plenty of scope for expansion as its use develops over time.
To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Klbrain}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)
Klbrain (talk) 10:30, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- @Klbrain: Are you sure hetrombopag is the INN? The FDA seems to think the INN is rafutrombopag. If you click on the UNII link in the infobox, it takes you to a FDA webpage for the drug (https://precision.fda.gov/uniisearch/srs/unii/9WGT51BDDL) with the synonym "RAFUTROMBOPAG [INN]". Can you have a second look? Thanks. Innerstream (talk) 13:55, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- Interesting; IUPHAR, which sticks to INN, uses hetrombopag, and given that the peer-reviewed sources are using it too ... USFDA uses UNII names, which aren't necessarily INNs. Klbrain (talk) 18:56, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
- I bet this is a case where the generic name has been changed during the course of drug development and/or different naming organizations have settled on different names. But I suppose the article is fine titled either way, with the appropriate redirects. Cheers, Innerstream (talk) 19:58, 6 May 2024 (UTC)

Autopatrolled granted

Hi Innerstream, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.
Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.
Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 15:07, 26 August 2024 (UTC)

Preferred software?
Hello - thank you for updating the image of trans-2-Hexenal - I was wondering what your preferred software for chemical image generation is, and what generally your workflow is like moving from target molecule to exported image. Thank you. -- Darkskysunflowers (talk) 20:03, 19 December 2024 (UTC)
- I use MarvinSketch from Chemaxon. The version I use was at one time free for personal use, but the last time I looked at their website it didn't appear to be free to download anymore. MarvinSketch can export in SVG file format, which is the preferred format for images such as chemical structures because they are infinitely scalable without loss of quality. Sometimes I have a small issue with the appearance of the file that MarvinSketch outputs and I will use Inkscape to make adjustments, but mostly I'm happy with them exactly as generated. ... for creating articles about lichen substances! I noticed you've already created two articles from my compilation of highly-linked but currently redlinked articles under the lichen task force's purview. If you're interested in making more, I've compiled a list that includes many lichen substances here that might pique your interest. Cheers, Esculenta (talk) 01:15, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- In general, I'm interested in creating chemistry articles that are highly redlinked. I'll definitely create some more from your list. How did you do your "redlink analysis"? Is there a some kind of tool for that, or did you do it manually? Innerstream (talk) 13:58, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
- I had ChatGPT write for me a Python script to go through categories I specified, tabulate the redlinks it saw in each article in the category, and report them back to me. My "programming ability" has improved significantly in the past couple of years, if you know what I mean :) Esculenta (talk) 16:36, 4 January 2025 (UTC)
Tetrahydroisoquinoline structure images
Hey Innerstream. Thanks for uploading the structures for the tetrahydroisoquinolines! I was wondering if you could replace the existing structure images for pellotine and lophophorine as well? They could be simplified and nicer-looking. Also I believe that anhalonine, salsolidine, peyotine, and gigantine (as well as pellotine for that matter) should all be the racemates rather than enantiomers and I think should have their structure images updated too. – AlyInWikiWonderland (talk, contribs) 00:21, 21 May 2025 (UTC)
- Have created a new family page for all of these compounds here. – AlyInWikiWonderland (talk, contribs) 05:41, 21 May 2025 (UTC)
- @AlyInWikiWonderland: Thanks for creating all the articles in the first place! I can hardly keep up with you. :) I've created racemic versions as you've suggested and added them to the articles. Please let me know if there are other images you would like me to create and I'd be happy to help out. Innerstream (talk) 14:13, 21 May 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks so much! I'm just glad you're pleased with the new content rather than annoyed about having to generate so many new structure images haha. I've added many more compounds to the substituted tetrahydroisoquinolines page. But it'd be way too many structures for you to have to generate, so don't worry about those if you're not up for it. – AlyInWikiWonderland (talk, contribs) 06:58, 22 May 2025 (UTC)
- Hey Innerstream. Thank you so much for uploading all those THIQ structures, that's awesome! It's really nice to be able to look at that page and see every single structure.
- If you're interested or up for it, I looked around and there are some more missing ones at these pages:
- - Lysergamides § Related compounds -- dosergoside, proteguride, etisulergine
- - DOx § List of DOx drugs -- MMALM, MALM, MFEM, MDFEM, MTFEM, MIPM
- No pressure or rush, but they're there if you'd like to do them. – AlyInWikiWonderland (talk, contribs) 20:17, 31 May 2025 (UTC)

2D structure of 3-Methyl-GABA
Hi Innerstream. Thanks for creating the 2D svg of this molecule, but I think that you've put the methyl group on the 4 carbon rather than the 3. I think this structure is 4-Aminopentanoic acid. Grantus4504 (talk) 07:21, 27 May 2025 (UTC)

Cevostamab
@Innerstream Would you be so kind as to create the 2D svg for and update Cevostamab. Thank you also for the previously created svgs. Noxoug1 (talk) 10:07, 4 September 2025 (UTC)
- I added an image - it's not in SVG format, though, because cevostamab is an antibody rather than a small molecule and the chemical structure drawing program I use to create SVGs doesn't work for that. Innerstream (talk) 18:33, 4 September 2025 (UTC)

Some more structure images
Hi Innerstream. Thank you so much for uploading structure images as always!
I've been keeping a list of structure images that could be updated or added. I was wondering if you'd be up for doing them? Here they are:
- These ones need to be replaced for style consistency: ETH-LAD, AL-LAD, PRO-LAD, IP-LAD, 1P-LSD, 1B-LSD, 1cP-LSD, 1P-ETH-LAD, methysergide, 10,11-seco-LSD, and LPH-5.
- This is a major one that could be slightly nicer-looking re: style like the ones you do: LSD.
- This one is very low-resolution and blurry: O-methyl-AL-34662.
- These ones don't have their own pages yet but are in tables with the structure images missing: (S)-5,6-difluoro-isoAMT (), fluorogainalog (), and LS-22925 ().
I was also looking at the (R)-70 one, but you already got to it!

- That's great, thank you! No rush. – AlyInWikiWonderland (talk, contribs) 07:41, 14 October 2025 (UTC)

2-Bromo-TMA structure image
Hi Innerstream! It looks like there's a mistake in the structure image for 2-bromo-TMA. It's missing the α-methyl group, making it the structure of 2-bromomescaline instead. I thought I'd let you know so you can fix. – AlyInWikiWonderland (talk, contribs) 21:16, 18 October 2025 (UTC)

Hi again Innerstream. Thanks for uploading structure images for MTDA and other compounds as always! It looks like there is a mistake for the MTDA image.
