Election results: In our December 2025 coordinator election, Wracking stepped down as coordinator; we thank them for their service. Incumbents Dhtwiki, Miniapolis, and Mox Eden were reelected coordinators, and IQR and WikiEditor5678910 were newly elected coordinator, to serve through 30 June. Nominations for our mid-year Election of Coordinators will open on 1 June (UTC). Drive: 55 editors signed up for our January Backlog Elimination Drive 33 claimed at least one copy-edit and copy-edited 611,404 words in 237 articles. Barnstars awarded are here. Blitz: 14 editors signed up for our February Copy Editing Blitz. 10 claimed at least one copy-edit and copy-edited 46,749 words in 18 articles. Barnstars awarded are here. @Olakunle Rufai: The main issue preventing it from being accepted is that there are some unreferenced claims in the Early life and education section, which either need to be backed up with inline citations to reliable sources or removed. It might also be helpful to add a few more references to secondary sources with significant coverage of him, and it is always a good idea to copyedit the article to ensure a neutral point of view that is not promoting the subject. @Olakunle Rufai: the sourcing is better, but an inline citation should be added for the first sentence. If the citation at the end of the second sentence also covers the first sentence, add a second citation to the same source to the end of the first sentence to show it is clearly backed up by a source. Also, in articles about people, you should mention them using their surname (Okeugo) instead of their forename (Paul), so once the draft is accepted, I would recommend fixing this. InterstellarGamer12321 (talk | contribs) 10:12, 11 May 2025 (UTC)

Hello @InterstellarGamer12321I noticed the promotional content template on the article- Paul Okeugo and I tried editing to remove what I thought to be promotional but I wanted a second opinion before removing the template. Could you look at it and see if it's to see if there's any promotional content left.

I also noticed that when the subject is googled, the article Paul Okeugo doesn't come up at all on all the google search pages, wanted to ask why you think that is so. Thank you. Olakunle Rufai (talk) 11:59, 28 May 2025 (UTC)

@Olakunle Rufai: the page is currently in the New Pages Feed and is waiting to be reviewed by a new page reviewer. I would recommend waiting for their advice because it will be their responsibility to check for promotional content and remove it. Personally, I don’t think it reads that promotionally but the article is not completely neutral yet, so it is probably better to not remove the tag until you make further edits. As for the search page problem, I think there is a rule where newly created pages do not appear for a set period of time, but I do not remember the exact details. Hello @InterstellarGamer12321 , I wanted to see if you can help look at this draft that got rejected: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Olawale_Ayilara . It was rejected on the basis of subject not being notable enough. I'm not sure I agree with that due to the amount of publications I have seen about the subject and coverage around them. I usually use sources listed here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_Nigeria/Nigerian_sources for Nigerian reliable sources so I'm not sure why it was deemed not notale. If you could help look and share your thoughts, and of course any way to improve the article if you thing it can pass another review. Thanks a lot for the help always.
