Tips
  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.
  • Have fun! Your presence in the Wikipedia community is welcome.

Happy editing! Cheers, Pharaoh of the Wizards (talk) 15:57, 9 April 2025 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Percy hennell (July 29)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Hoary was:
This submission is not adequately supported by reliable sources. Reliable sources are required so that information can be verified. If you need help with referencing, please see Referencing for beginners and Citing sources.
The comment the reviewer left was:
Here's an unusually interesting subject for an article. (Val Williams has a knack for finding these.) So I take no pleasure in declining it. But bizarre mentions of the process of burnt airmen, and even of Hennell's camera on the scalp of a mysterious "Sir Reginald" made me wonder how they could have come about. Fairly simple: plagiarism of A. F. Wallace's article "The early history...". However, only fairly simple, as "progress" had been turned into "process", "scalpel" into "scalp", and more. This is both dishonest and sloppy. I put some time into checking the origin(s) of one paragraph of plagiarized prose, and made temporary fixes. (Only temporary, as a Wikipedia article can't simply concatenate quoted sentences, even if the quoting is faithful.) The creator of this draft should do the rest of the rather tiring work of making this draft faithful to its sources, candid about who wrote what, and conforming to other standards. Then, and not before, I hope that this draft will be promoted to full article status. --
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.
