Hello Jolielover. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Siva Sutta, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: G15 has very specific criteria; offline sources are allowed and not a reason for G15. Thank you. CoconutOctopus talk 10:44, 23 August 2025 (UTC)

Not that I involve myself with DYK a lot, but that was the weirdest one I've seen. "Recently GA:d! Sure, but you have to re-write it completely for it to fit DYK." For me, that's counter-intuitive. WikiCup 2025 September newsletter
The fourth round of the 2025 WikiCup ended on 29 August. The penultimate round saw three contestants score more than 800 points:
BeanieFan11 (submissions) with 1,175 round points, mainly from sports-related articles, including 17 good articles, 27 did you know articles, and 9 in the news articles
Arconning (submissions) with 1,090 round points, mainly from articles about athletes and politicians, including a featured article on Philippines at the 1924 Summer Olympics, 9 good articles, 28 did you know articles, and a wide assortment of featured and good article reviews
AirshipJungleman29 (submissions) with 854 round points, mostly from a high-scoring featured article on the Indian leader Rani of Jhansi and two good articles, in addition to 13 featured and good article reviews
Everyone who competed in Round 4 will advance to Round 5 unless they have withdrawn. This table shows all competitors who have received tournament points so far, while the full scores for Round 4 can be seen here. During this round, contestants have claimed 9 featured articles, 12 featured lists, 98 good articles, 9 good topic articles, more than 150 reviews, nearly 100 did you know articles, and 18 in the news articles.
In advance of the fifth and final round, the judges would like to thank every contestant for their hard work. As a reminder, any content promoted after 29 August but before the start of Round 5 can be claimed in Round 5. In addition, note that Round 5 will end on 31 October at 23:59 UTC. Awards at the end of Round 5 will be distributed based on who has the most tournament points over all five rounds, and special awards will be distributed based on high performance in particular areas of content creation (e.g., most featured articles in a single round).
Invitations for collaborative writing efforts or any other discussion of potentially interesting work is always welcome on the WikiCup talk page. Remember, if two or more WikiCup competitors have done significant work on an article, all can claim points. If you are concerned that your nomination—whether it is at good article candidates, a featured process, or anywhere else—will not receive the necessary reviews, please list it on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. If you want to help out with the WikiCup, feel free to review one of the nominations listed on Wikipedia:WikiCup/Reviews Needed. Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Mater Amabilis Secondary School, Umuoji, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Although there is no censorship here but editing newly created article while the creator is still adding and removing and restructuring is uncalled for. - Wdym? Large, uncited paragraphs or overreliance on primary sources are not appropriate; see WP:PRIMARY.
- 3:
A primary source may be used on Wikipedia only to make straightforward, descriptive statements of facts that can be verified by any educated person with access to the primary source but without further, specialized knowledge.
The paragraphs removed can't be verified easily. - 5:
Do not base an entire article on primary sources, and be cautious about basing large passages on them.
- 3:
- And uncited content (like the Etmology subheading) can be challenged and removed.
- And again, like I said before, you should just save it in your sandbox if you don't want other editors to help. Once it's published, I see it on the NPP, and try to improve it. I added the maintenance tags, yes, but intended to work on it (see the edit you reverted). There are issues with grammar, spelling, and tone. Also some issues with the legal issues subheading - no legal issues (currently described anyway) and possibly negative, exceptional claims will need stronger sourcing. Again, if you just don't want any of this to be addressed since you're planning to do something about it, don't move it to mainspace. jolielover♥talk 08:46, 2 September 2025 (UTC)

Live Documentations from notable Social Media accounts
Hey there! i see you recently reviewed a subject article i made on wikipedia. while scrolling through instagram i saw a post from famous Remix DJ/Producer Opolopo from Sweden on Instagram in apost which says that B Major Mastered / Engineered opolopos latest Remix which drops in this month. I went to checkout B Major IG page and saw that another notable Billboard charting music producer mentioned him in a latest post where it shows him in a studio setting video alongside well know. South african Idols Top 5 contestant Zee Dyasi. It looks like he is co-producing and recording her album with the Billboard charting music producer Mothers Favorite Child.
I wanted to know is this worth a mention on his wikipedia or is it possible to quote it on his wikipedia? What blows my mind is this guy has only 600 followers and is working with all these notable people from all over the world!? LordOfTheReverts (talk) 07:34, 6 September 2025 (UTC)
- Hi there, it is definitely worth a mention, however, typically reliable, secondary sources are preferred for articles. A primary source isn't ideal, but as long as it doesn't make an exceptional claim or says something hard to verify, it should be fine. Please note that if the post doesn't explicitly state he's producing the album, and just hints at it, it's best to steer clear and wait for an offical announcement, since this is original research. Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia! jolielover♥talk 09:12, 6 September 2025 (UTC)

WP:AN
Hello, Jolielover,
I was just wondering why you mentioned Larry Sanger twice in the discussion on AN about the imprisoned editor, Hossein Ronaghi. I don't see any connection between the two subjects at all. Can you clue me in on why you referred to Sanger here? Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 22:45, 30 September 2025 (UTC)
- Sanger released his nine theses recently. Thesis 6 calls for administrators & check users to have their identities revealed as he believes that the "most powerful" users should not have the guise of anonymity when making decisions that could bring harm. I pointed out that revealing identities can be harmful due to at least five people being imprisoned for the work they did editing. Hearing about a new case of an administrator being imprisoned for bringing awareness to issues in his country made me think of the thesis, and how harmful it really is. I live in the Middle East and the guise of anonymity is what makes me feel moderately safe to continue editing. I mean, there's also the thing that I don't believe admins should face real world consequences for editing here - and they're not responsible for "damaging reputations", since I really can't think of an incident where an admin genuinely did such a thing - but that's my view. jolielover♥talk 01:53, 1 October 2025 (UTC)

Tesla
Is there anything that can be done about Joy on Tesla page? He's been attacking Sadko who has started the discussion. He is in clear minority with his opinion. Two longsanding editors have edited the article, and he went so far to go to Wiki guidelines page and edit guidelines there so he can have his POV in the article.
Ok, I'm an IP so attacking me is ok, but even without me, it's not ok to attack Sadko, to change Wiki guidelines...etc. Now he deleted whole bunch of text from multiple IPs.
I don't want to go edit warring since he's an admin and he's in clear minoriy with or without my posts , I'd like to have a formal closure in that discussion. Is that possible?

I don't believe it is GA ready yet - I want to make sure all information is accurate. Thanks anyway! jolielover♥talk 03:07, 16 October 2025 (UTC)
First of all, hello
I just wanted to point out that it's great that your name is red and you used a nice font. :D BEFOR01 (talk) 17:50, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you! :) I also quite like how it looks! Been going strong for almost a year! jolielover♥talk 17:51, 17 October 2025 (UTC)
That curiosity
Halfway through the NYP I wondered "ok, does he have a username?" Can't help it. Perhaps Wikipediocracy will tell us. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 19:21, 17 October 2025 (UTC)

DCWC closing update
Two weeks ago, the 2025 Developing Countries WikiContest came to a close! After three months of stiff competition at the top of the leaderboard, we have our winners.
vigilantcosmicpenguin (submissions), continuing his work on covering abortion in Africa, comes in third with 692 points.
simongraham (submissions) comes in second with 763 points, largely from a slew of good articles about jumping spiders. And returning to the podium for the second year in a row,
BeanieFan11 (submissions) takes the Gold Belt Buckle with a mind-boggling 946 points from his series of articles on sportpersons. Congratulations to our winners!
Amazingly, the award for the most countries covered goes to both
BeanieFan11 (submissions) and simongraham (submissions), who each submitted articles under 30 flags!
BeanieFan11 (submissions) also wins for writing the most quality articles (16 good articles). For submitting 16 articles related to El Salvador,
PizzaKing13 (submissions) wins the award for most submissions under one country. The award for most submissions related to women goes to both Spookyaki (submissions) (7 biographies about women) and
vigilantcosmicpenguin (submissions) (21 related articles). And for the second year, simongraham (submissions) wins for the most reviews, having submitted 21!
Among the participants' contributions were 2 FAs, 5 FLs, 124 GAs, and an uncounted number of DYKs, ITNs, and reviews of every kind! Regardless of your level of participation, every contestant can be proud to have contributed towards a major step in countering the systemic bias on Wikipedia. Every year, millions of readers and editors around the globe use Wikipedia to educate themselves and communicate with others about parts of the world that often receive less attention than they deserve. Thank you for participating with us in the contest and contributing to this effort. The DCWC will return next year, and we look forward to seeing you contribute again! However, before that...
We need your feedback! Join the conversation on the talk page to discuss your reflections on the contest (even if you didn't participate!) and help us make it better.
If you have any questions, please leave a message on the contest talk page or ask one of the coordinators: Arconning (talk · contribs), sawyer777 (talk · contribs), or TechnoSquirrel69 (talk · contribs). DYK for Marianne Angermann
On 1 October 2025, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Marianne Angermann, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Marianne Angermann earned a doctorate in chemistry in 1928 at a time when few women pursued higher education in Germany? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Marianne Bielschowsky. You are welcome to check how many pageviews the nominated article or articles got while on the front page (here's how, Marianne Angermann), and the hook may be added to the statistics page after its run on the Main Page has completed. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to nominate it.

Thank you for an interesting bio, and nice to meet you! It's also featured on Portal:Germany. - My story today is about a woman and her husband who played Bach's Sonatina for us (Rheingau Musik Festival, long ago) on an upright piano, and it made me cry, and I still remember. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:05, 1 October 2025 (UTC)
Carl Nielsen (FA by four colleagues, not me) is remembered on the main page! My story on the Germany National holiday is a song calling to trust the new ways, written shortly before the events leading to reunification. I saw a lovely Mozart opera production yesterday, in case of interest. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:13, 3 October 2025 (UTC)
- Thanks a lot!! Sorry for getting to this a little late, I've been a bit busy and completely forgot! Nice to meet you too! jolielover♥talk 16:33, 4 October 2025 (UTC)
- Welcome, and busy is fine, same for me. A completely different opera today, - there are youtubes of all three acts of the 100-year-old opera with a young Abbado. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 21:13, 4 October 2025 (UTC)

- A good story for a Sunday: Martin Neary conducting Purcell. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 10:19, 5 October 2025 (UTC)
- Happy birthday, Margaret Medlyn! (I found the article - not by me - when searching for someone whose birthday is today.) - I took a cat pic, presented by Rosiestep today. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:51, 7 October 2025 (UTC)
- Happy 50th birthday, Alain Altinoglu!) - I let the video begin with a closeup of the octobass ;) Gerda Arendt (talk) 18:50, 9 October 2025 (UTC)

You really thought you could get away with this and that, huh? Quit harassing me when I'm feeling down. Stop making me feel fucked up. Find another hobby rather than been so miserable about me deleting comments from your talk page, the comments from December 2024-May 2025 were long gone and you need to accept it. Leave me alone and stop pinging me. PEPSI697 (💬) (📝) 06:20, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
- What? Look, I didn't know you were down. I was going through my talk page archives and saw they were incomplete, and added back ones that weren't obvious vandalism/ones I replied to. I'm not miserable about you deleting comments, I just wanted the archives to not be missing out on important and relevant comments. What you did was also technically a violation of WP:TPO. Regardless of what I felt at the time, now I feel like all comments on my talk page - the good, the bad, and the ugly - should stay (other than obvious vandalism/harassment). jolielover♥talk 07:13, 27 October 2025 (UTC)
