For a subject like this, the tests are WP:GNG and then WP:BASIC. So ideally three features in newspapers detailing at length the subject's whole career. It does not have to be precisely that, but it does have to be significant coverage in a reliable source. It is not what the subject says or writes, it is more about what other people say or write about the subject. It would be quite unusual for someone of this profile to have an article in Wikipedia - if they did it would be due some notability proven by sources.
If the submitting editor knows or has a connection to the subject, then this must be declared: see WP:COI. Also read WP:YFA.
