Social Equality

Hi ljde35! I just finished reviewing your Social Equality sandbox article and wanted to leave my full peer review here since I couldn’t figure out how to send it through course email! Your edits really improved the article and gave it a stronger sense of range and global focus! I dropped my feedback below so it’s all in one place!

Your Name: Payton LaRue

Peer's Username: Ljde35

Article Topic: Social Equality

Link to Draft: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Ljde35/Social_equality

Lead

The lead clearly introduces the idea of social equality and sets the stage for the rest of the article! You expanded the identity list well, and it feels more current and inclusive now! If anything, the long sentence could be split into two for easier reading, but overall it reflects the article accurately and gives a good overview!

Structure

The article is organized in a way that makes sense and is easy to follow! Each section focuses on a different kind of equality, and your edits flow naturally with the existing text! Adding a quick intro line before some of the sections might make transitions even smoother, but the overall layout works great!

Balancing

Your new additions really helped balance the article out! I liked how the Venezuela reference gave a non-US example and how you expanded the gender section with relevant stats and sources! A couple areas like “Opportunity” or “Equality of Condition” are still a little light, so adding just a bit more there could round things out even better!

Neutrality

The tone stays totally neutral throughout! You wrote about serious topics like inequality and violence in a factual and clear way without sounding biased! Nothing felt like it was pushing a specific opinion, and there weren’t any vague claims or sweeping statements either!

Sources

You used strong sources that clearly support the edits you made! I saw academic and government-based citations throughout, and they were placed well! Just double-check that your image meets Wikipedia’s copyright rules, but other than that, everything looked solid and well-researched!

Final Takeaways

Your edits made this article stronger and more meaningful! I loved how you brought in international context and added depth to areas that needed it! At this point, a few final polish touches like short transitions and slightly building out the lighter sections would take it to the next level! I couldn’t figure out how to send this through the course email, so I’m posting your review here instead! Paytonlarue (talk) 06:08, 20 April 2025 (UTC)
