Speedy deletion nomination of Category:Images of Kilgore, Texas

A tag has been placed on Category:Images of Kilgore, Texas indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remns empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 05:08, 2 July 2025 (UTC)
- Hi Liz,
- I’m a bit confused about why this is being deleted. I understand it’s empty now, but it wasn’t originally — all the pages that were in it were removed. Do you happen to know why that happened?
- Is this type of category just outdated or no longer supported by the community? I’m asking because I’ve seen similar pages with images of other cities that follow the same format I used, but for some reason, everything I added was deleted, leaving this category empty.
- Any insight you have would really help me understand what’s going on.
- Thanks so much! Luka Maglc (talk) 22:23, 2 July 2025 (UTC)

Redirects
Almost every one of the dozens of redirects you've created over the last few days (that's as far back as I've checked so far) are problematic. Random typos shouldn't have redirects (we have over 7 million articles, and many more redirects to them...this starts to get pretty ridiculous and unhelpful). Casing variants are usually not needed -- the search box already matches them if avlable...those are only useful as linking ds, and consider if those are going to be likely errors/variations before creating. I know you've already gotten a whiff of the WP:FORRED issues with many as well.
At this point, I'm asking you stop creating redirects; it has caused a frly large mess that needs cleanup. –Deacon Vorbis (carbon • videos) 23:07, 16 January 2026 (UTC)
- Ok got it. When I started I wasn't expecting this. I will stop. Luka Maglc (talk) 23:10, 16 January 2026 (UTC)

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. Regarding your recent edits to Kilgore High School when you modified the page, you introduced unknown parameters. Just because you specify |some_param=some_variable does not always mean that variable will display. The |some_param= must be defined in the template. You can look at the documentation for the template you are using but it is also helpful to use the preview button before you save your edit; this helps you find any errors you have made and ensure that the values you have added are displaying correctly. Below the edit box is a Show preview button. Pressing this will show you what the page will look like without actually saving it. It is strongly recommended that you use this before saving. Note I have likely fixed the error by now so check the history of the page to see how it was fixed. If you have any questions, contact the help desk for assistance.

Introduction to contentious topics
You have recently edited a page related to pseudoscience and fringe science, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.
A special set of rules applies to certn topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia's norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have an expanded level of powers and discretion in order to reduce disruption to the project.
Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrn from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:
- adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
- comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
- follow editorial and behavioural best practices;
- comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
- refrn from gaming the system.
Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures, you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.
Basically, other users have objected to your arguments at Talk:Agartha and it is necessary to keep a level head. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 10:50, 22 January 2026 (UTC)
Oh yeah, no one issued this, either:
There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 11:37, 22 January 2026 (UTC)

Temporary account IP viewer granted
Hello, Luka Maglc. Per your request, your account has been granted temporary-account-viewer rights. You are now able to reveal the IP addresses of individuals using temporary accounts that are not visible to the general public. This is very sensitive information that is only to be used to d in anti-abuse workflows. Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Temporary account IP viewer for more information on this user right. It is important to remember:
- You must not share IP address data with someone who does not have the same access permissions unless disclosure is permissible as per guidelines listed at Foundation:Policy:Wikimedia Access to Temporary Account IP Addresses Policy.
- Access must not be used for political control, to apply pressure on editors, or as a threat agnst another editor in a content dispute. There must be a valid reason to investigate a temporary user. Note that using multiple temporary accounts is not forbidden, so long as they are not used in violation of policies (for example, block or ban evasion).
It is also important to note that the following actions are logged for others to see:
- When a user accepts the preference that enables or disables IP reveal for their account.
- Revealing an IP address of a temporary account.
- Listing the temporary accounts that are associated with one or more IP addresses (using the CIDR notation format).
Remember, even if a user is violating policy, avoid revealing personal information if possible. Use temporary account usernames rather than disclosing IP addresses directly, or give information such as same network/not same network or similar. If you do not want the user right anymore then please ask me or another administrator and it will be removed for you. You may also voluntarily give up access at any time by visiting Special:Preferences. Happy editing! Sohom (talk) 11:49, 27 January 2026 (UTC)
