Emails
Have you received any emails directing you to discussions on Wikipedia? nableezy - 13:57, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- No.
- No one knows my identity, no one knows my email address connected to this account, so it's actually impossible for this to even be a possibility. Why do you ask? MaskedSinger (talk) 14:00, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- You have email enabled on your account, so no it isn’t impossible. I ask because I’m aware of an email canvassing campaign around some discussions you’ve recently taken part of. But thank you for answering. nableezy - 14:07, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Nableezy I do!? Well there you go. Didn't even know as no one has ever emailed me here before.
- I actually had my suspicions that canvassing was happening but I didn't know who to tell about it.
- My gut was telling me that editors were canvassed to express an anti-Israel sentiment. Of course how can I say anything where I will be accused of violating WP:AGF and WS:ASPERSIONS??
- You can imagine what a concern this is so I'm glad you're on the case!! Please let me know what I can do to help you! MaskedSinger (talk) 14:15, 12 November 2024 (UTC)
- @Nableezy You never got back to me about this. Please let me know. MaskedSinger (talk) 13:44, 18 November 2024 (UTC)
- I promised I wouldn’t lol on Wikipedia anymore so I have no appropriate response. nableezy - 14:49, 18 November 2024 (UTC)

Removal of relevant information in regards to Douglas Murray
You don't think it's relevant that Natasha partnered with someone who has such anti-Muslim positions like "Conditions should be made harder for all Muslims across the board", whilst she talks about how bad anti-Jewish racism is?
That the inconsistency here, that some forms of bigotry are OK, is not important context? 82.4.198.166 (talk) 20:15, 25 December 2024 (UTC)

Notice of Arbitration Enforcement noticeboard discussion
Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there is currently a report involving you at Wikipedia:Arbitration/Requests/Enforcement regarding a possible violation of an Arbitration Committee decision. The thread is GeoColdWater. Thank you. Chess (talk) (please mention me on reply) 00:44, 3 April 2025 (UTC)
- Specifically, I'm notifying you because you might also have evidence about that editor's source distortion, not because you're the one being reported.

Wikipedia and copyright
Hello MaskedSinger! Your additions to Nataly Leibovitz have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § Licensing.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please ask them here on this page, or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 16:33, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
- @Significa liberdade I didn't think I was violating copyright. I was just using the source. MaskedSinger (talk) 16:44, 6 April 2025 (UTC)
- Hi there! When taking information from a source, you need to make sure to rewrite the information using your own words (that is, paraphrase). A general guideline is that you should not have more than three consecutive words be the same, with some exceptions (such as proper nouns). I hope that makes sense! Let me know if you have any follow-up questions. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 22:12, 6 April 2025 (UTC)

Your submission at Articles for creation: Gaurav Srivastava (May 24)

- No problem @CharlieMehta Thanks for letting me know. I was curious to see if it it's possible to create something on this subject that is balanced and neutral. If he's not notable enough, fair enough. Ill keep an eye on the news and see if any new press may change this. MaskedSinger (talk) 18:43, 24 May 2025 (UTC)

- @Apocheir Did you see my question about Gaurav Srivastava? The draft was rejected - is there enough there to add the incident to smear campaign? MaskedSinger (talk) 04:41, 27 May 2025 (UTC)
- I don't think so. We don't have independent verification that it was a smear campaign, we just have Srivastava saying so. Both Troost and Srivastava have been using dirty tricks including paid editing on Wikipedia, so at this point I say salt both their pages and let them fight somewhere else. Apocheir (talk) 00:33, 28 May 2025 (UTC)
- @Apocheir
- So on smear campaign for Blake Lively, it refers to it as alleged smear campaign and with Chris Bryant, I'm not sure it was every proven.
- But you're the expert here and let's follow what you say.
- Anyhow, given it appears that smear campaigns are becoming more commonplace, I'm trying to stay on top of all them so they don't bring their fight to Wikipedia.
- Apparently there could also be one happening at Zepto with its CEO.
- Maybe we need to create a smear campaign noticeboard or something similar to deal with articles when they're impacted by one. MaskedSinger (talk) 04:24, 28 May 2025 (UTC)

Blocked for COI/UPE issues

Your account has been blocked indefinitely for advertising or promotion and violating the Wikimedia Foundation's Terms of Use. This is because you have been making promotional edits to topics in which you have a financial stake, yet you have failed to adhere to the mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a form of conflict of interest (COI) editing which involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is strictly prohibited. Using this site for advertising or promotion is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia.
If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, please read our guide to appealing blocks to understand more about unblock requests, and then add the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the end of your user talk page.
As this block is based off of private evidence, it can additionally be appealed to the Arbitration Committee by email to arbcom-en
wikimedia.org.
For an unblock to be considered, you must:
- Confirm that you have read and understand the Terms of Use and paid editing disclosure requirements.
- State clearly how you are being compensated for your edits, and describe any affiliation or conflict of interest you might have with the subjects you have written about.
- Describe how you intend to edit such topics in the future.
Administrators: if this block includes a Volunteer Response Team ticket number, this block was placed as part of the conflict of interest VRT queue and the user must not be unblocked without the express consent of a user with access to the queue. For users with access to the queue, please see ticket:2025061410000639.
The conflict of interest queue additionally received evidence indicating you edited as User:Whitemancanjump23. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 02:26, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
- Hello MaskedSinger, I've seen your email. To respond, the COI team was sent evidence demonstrating a connection between you and a person who was receiving compensation for edits. Pieces of evidence on and off wiki indicated you and this person were one and the same. If you did not engage in paid editing, to convince someone with access to this evidence to unblock you, you would need to demonstrate how you are not this person, or demonstrate you were not actually compensated for these edits (note that you may still have a conflict of interest even if you weren't compensated). Given Wikipedia's rules on disclosing the real-life identity of other editors (WP:OUTING), it's difficult for me to directly talk to you about this evidence. This is why it might be better for you to appeal to the Arbitration Commitee (email listed above), where this private evidence can be discussed and you can protect your own privacy. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 18:12, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you @Moneytrees MaskedSinger (talk) 18:13, 14 June 2025 (UTC)
- To answer your latest question, I'm not currently on the committee so I don't have direct insight into how they'll go about this; they probably won't give you very direct details, especially if you aren't appealing. To elaborate a bit, I am allowed to say that some of the offsite evidence indicates you at least have/had a conflict of interest with Voice of the People (Israel) and Draft:Israellycool, although that wasn't the sole reason you were blocked. Moneytrees🏝️(Talk) 22:20, 15 June 2025 (UTC)
- Thank you @Moneytrees MaskedSinger (talk) 18:13, 14 June 2025 (UTC)

Thanks for your contributions to Nataly Leibovitz. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
