Do you think Transvestism should be merged into Cross-dressing?
Don’t answer here but it would be great if you and maybe your fellow students could say at Talk:Cross-dressing#Merge Transvestism into here? Chidgk1 (talk) 06:33, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
Advice
Hello @Mistdreamer I hope you are enjoying your course. You asked for advice on improving the Cross-dressing article. I suggest you click the “add topic” link at Talk:Cross-dressing and ask under a title such as “How to improve this article?”
I like that you are intending to expand the lead as many students just add a lot of new detail to the body of the article. Adding new info is good - suggest you just add it directly in the article with cites,(not history.com - see Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Perennial sources) but don’t be upset if someone else removes it. If they do it can be discussed on the talk page. I have never seen a student deleting old wrong info - if you do that you might need to gently point out to whoever marks your work that you have done so or they might not notice it.
However the lead probably needs a bit more diplomacy so don’t leave it to the last minute but as soon as you have a draft again click the “add topic” link at Talk:Cross-dressing and put it under a title such as “Proposed new lead”. 4 paragraphs would be ideal I think - don’t be intimidated by Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Lead section just ask if you need help. Hope you enjoy Chidgk1 (talk) 07:32, 23 January 2026 (UTC)
