Kuniyoshi Sakai
Hi Mondloch! I'm helping out with your course, and I see that you did a really good job with the Kuniyoshi Sakai article. However, as a quick suggestion, at the moment you haven't really shown the importance of the subject, and thus it isn't clear that it will pass the notability guidelines as it stands. The subject is fine, though - you just need to show that he is important in the article. There are a couple of ways of doing this. One which works for academics is to see if he holds a named chair, but I'm not sure if that is the case. The other is to show that his work has been noticed outside of academia, or is very important within. I did a quick search on Google News and it looks pretty good - there are a couple of articles discussing his work which should establish notability. So if you add those to the article then all should be fine. :) - Bilby (talk) 11:43, 18 April 2012 (UTC)
