Your submission at Articles for creation: Bradley Kelly (May 3)

Your recent article submission to Articles for Creation has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. The reason left by Fade258 was:
This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article—that is, they do not show significant coverage (not just passing mentions) about the subject in published, reliable, secondary sources that are independent of the subject (see the guidelines on the notability of people). Before any resubmission, additional references meeting these criteria should be added (see technical help and learn about mistakes to avoid when addressing this issue). If no additional references exist, the subject is not suitable for Wikipedia.
The comment the reviewer left was:
I found little bit coverage but not sufficient to establish notability.
Please check the submission for any additional comments left by the reviewer. You are encouraged to edit the submission to address the issues raised and resubmit after they have been resolved.

Tom Venning

Hello Moondragon21,

the source cited by you says "71.7% counted". If I understand correctly, there are no official final election results yet. Which source is your statement "is a member of the Australian Parliament for the Division of Grey representing the Liberal Party of Australia after winning the seat in the 2025 Australian federal election" based on? ~ ToBeFree (talk) 14:05, 3 May 2025 (UTC)

ABC projects the seat as "Liberal retain" Moondragon21 (talk) 14:07, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
So you have created an article about a living person based on a projection and describing the content of the projection as an objective current fact in Wikipedia's voice? ~ ToBeFree (talk) 14:08, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
Other new Australian MPs have new pages based on the results of the 2025 election. Moondragon21 (talk) 14:11, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
Other violations of the biographies of living persons policy may well exist; please don't participate in creating them. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 14:12, 3 May 2025 (UTC)

Tom Venning moved to draftspace

An article you recently created, Tom Venning, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 14:11, 3 May 2025 (UTC)

Why did you move the page unilaterally when I was mid edit? Moondragon21 (talk) 14:15, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
When you clicked "Publish changes", was there any warning or notice about the page not existing anymore? ~ ToBeFree (talk) 14:22, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
No there was no warning now there are two pages. Moondragon21 (talk) 14:24, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
Okay, sorry, that was obviously not my intention. Thanks for adding a history merge request. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 14:25, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
Okay Moondragon21 (talk) 14:27, 3 May 2025 (UTC)
Moondragon21, the history merge request is still open and I can fix the mess I've created by deleting the article, moving the draft there, deleting the result as well and then restoring all revisions that are on the page. I think this is an uncontroversial action that, if at all, would be something the person who moved the article to draftspace could complain about (and I obviously don't). However, as we've been in a (little) conflict about this together, that would be a pretty involved administrative action. If there are any objections from your side to this, I'm prohibited from doing it. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:49, 4 May 2025 (UTC)
That is okay lets leave the merge request it should be done soon. Moondragon21 (talk) 20:01, 4 May 2025 (UTC)
I'm a passing Admin who saw the request. I'm happy to try to merge the two pages' histories. --Scott Davis Talk 11:59, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
@ToBeFree: Merge (hopefully) complete. Please let me know if there are any problems. --Scott Davis Talk 12:14, 7 May 2025 (UTC)
Many thanks. Merge looks good. Moondragon21 (talk) 17:20, 7 May 2025 (UTC)

War on drugs in Ecuador

Proposed deletion of War on drugs in Ecuador

Notice

The article War on drugs in Ecuador has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There is no official declaration of war against drug trafficking in Ecuador.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
