On the website, it says: "starting with the 2022-’23 season, the winner of I-League will stand a chance to be promoted to the ISL" and "for the first three years (2019-’20, 2020-’21 and 2021-’22), there will continue to be no promotion and relegation in the ISL". Hey @SuperJew! It really depends. The most important thing is consistency. For example, at 2021 AFC Cup it's always written as "Al-". For Lebanese teams (not in pages such as the AFC Cup), I personally like to just remove the Al because, for example, it doesn't make sense to me to write Al Ahed for Al Ahed FC, but not Al Nejmeh for Nejmeh SC (even though in Arabic the "Al" is present). For consistency I just remove it. For Saudi teams there doesn't seem to be consistency (some use Al, others Al-), so for Taawoun's case I would use what is being used in the article's name. Let me disagree about what you said about IFFHS. IFFHS of course is a credible, reliable and valid source. 100%. In fact, for your information, IFFHS stands for : "International Federation of Football History & Statistics". So you do understand that here we are talking about an OFFICIAL FOOTBALL FEDERATION, aren't you ??? It is like FIFA, UEFA etc and it is even more trustworthy, as it gives awards and honours footballers based on statistics. So its awards/honours are arguably objective and impartial. That is why I cannot understand and cannot accept why you (and some other wiki users as well) keep reverting my edit regarding Lionel Messi's latest honour (see the subject above). It is so sad for Wikipedia the truth to be hidden. Wikipedia should have some controllers/advanced users to check out what is true/correct and what is not. In 1999, IFFHS declared former Brazilian footballer-legend, Pele, as the best footballer in the 20th century and this is well written in Pele's Wikipedia page. Actually, Pele's wiki page says exactly : "In 1999, Pelé was voted World Player of the Century by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS)". So you can see on your own that there are double standards here... If we want to have a fair, objective and unbiased Wikipedia, then we should write down the facts as they really are. Otherwise, continuous reverts like yours unfortunately make Wikipedia seem sloppy and biased. I am really sorry.

@Dr Salvus: Ciao, consiglio personale: penso che la cosa migliore sia fare con molta calma. Io ho cominciato a modificare nel 2018 con una certa regolarita'. La mia prima pagina che ho portato a GA (Lebanon national football team) fu quasi un anno dopo. Il mio primo FA fu appunto la partita del 1940, che fu promossa piu' di 2 anni dopo che cominciai a modificare su Wikipedia.

Non trattare Wikipedia come una sorta di videogioco. Fai con molta calma, modifica quello che vedi che c'e' da modificare, crea pagine tranquillamente. Pero' non ha molto senso correre e fare tutto subito (promuovere subito articoli a GA, FA, FL, ottenere i diritti come rollbacker etc.) Tutte queste cose vengono organicamente col tempo.

Io la pagina sulla partita del 1940 l'ho creata per crearla, non perche' avessi gia' in testa che dovesse diventare un GA o FA. Piano piano, modificando, ho visto che stava uscendo un articolo ben scritto. A quel punto ho chiesto un peer review prima, poi un GA, etc. etc.

In essenza: vai tranquillo. Modifica, impara, migliora, e poi con calma vedrai se promuovere pagine ad FA/GA o meno. Nehme₁₄₉₉ 22:35, 19 February 2021 (UTC)

That could be tricky. The FA used to have profiles for all youth internationals which includes caps, goals and the dates of first and last caps, but they did away with those a few years ago. The Rothmans/Sky Sports etc Football Yearbooks usually list line-ups for England youth international matches, I'll check my copies in the next few days. In the meantime, I think it's worth having a discussion, perhaps at WT:FOOTY, as to whether we should include youth level international data in the international statistics tables. They're deemed notable enough to include in infoboxes so it stands to reason that they should be in career stats tables, and it would make life a lot easier when it comes to sourcing them. Hi there, I was wondering if you could help. Some years ago, there was a mass creation of articles on Italian friendly matches, for example Torneo Città di Bologna and Coppa Misura (Cesena). There seem to be a good 20 to 30 articles with similar lack of content and sourcing. Firstly, are they notable? @Spiderone: An important thing to keep in mind: not even the Italian Wikipedia has these articles, which confirms that they aren't notable. Also, being one-year tournaments, the summary page isn't really needed. If anything there should be a page for 1990 Torneo Città di Bologna (if indeed it is notable, which I highly doubt). But you’ve mistaken it for Soccerway website. We know these facts very clearly because we're resident of Bangladesh and fan of Bangladesh football too!

For AFC players, they have all the players' passport/IDs, which means that they have the correct spellings. But I assume you know that those sites have many misakes about low coverage leagues as you’re working on football related articles. On the other hand, the local but reliable news sites bring the most authentic informations as they publishes most recent updates.

You're a italian citizen. You'll know about italian domestic leagues and footballer better than me. Same way, I know better about Bangladeshi football better than you. Also our country isn’t a huge football country like yours.

Now if you're gonna keep inaccurate informations on wikipedia depending on some sites like Global Sports Archive and ignoring the most recent news reports, it's completely your own wish. But it will be wrong. Hope you will take the right decision.

@Diptadg17: Don't worry, I am very aware of incorrect spellings as I largely deal with Lebanese football (and I 1000% agree with you that Soccerway very often list incorrect spellings). Which is why I had no problem with the original spelling of the Wikipedia page. However, I know for a fact that GSA has access to the AFC database, where passports and IDs of players are stored, which means that, at least for players who have played in any AFC competition (AFC Asian Cup, AFC Champions League, AFC Cup, AFC U19 Championship qualifiers, etc.), they have the correct spellings as reported on the players' passports.
