Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or .
If you have particular interests like Films and Acting, you may add these if there are relevant Wikipedia:Userboxes to your User page see Wikipedia:User pages. These are kind of like the clubs within Wikipedia. And having a User page helps the Wikipedia community to know your interests better as a wikipedian, like a personal profile page. You can check out mine as an example.

I reported a false positive that ClueBot did to me. Wikipedia has instructed me to remove the ClueBot entry on my Talk page. I am doing that.

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Newspapers dot", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it may imply shared use and/or association with newspapers.com. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username by completing the form at Special:GlobalRenameRequest, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. - It meets Wikipedia’s username policy because I have no intention of associating it with a website. I imagine a large dot above a pile of old newspapers. Newspapers dot (talk) 12:48, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- The issue is the appearance of the name and that it may mislead other editors into continually questioning a connection to Newspapers dot com, a major source used in wiki articles. Please consider changing your username. Thanks. Stefen 𝕋ower Huddle • Handiwerk 19:39, 24 January 2026 (UTC)
- Hmm. Personally I wouldn't have objected to your username, as the connection to "newspapers.com" doesn't seem that close. However, I suppose it possibly could be misleading, so maybe renaming is best. Anyway, I've done it. You should now be able to log in under the new username, with the same password as before.
