Thoughts on placing certain references to a dedicated section?
I am writing to you regarding the article "Sexual violence against Tamils in Sri Lanka"
I would like to know if it would be worth placing the references which appear multiple times below in the last section so they can be cited in the main body using the sfn template. This will also help with visibility of important reports and news references that are repeatedly referenced from the rest of the citations. I want to get your opinion as you appear the page creator for the article. It might also be a bit tedious.
I think the following reference is also relevant to the topic but for some reason it hasn't been included as of yet. What is your opinion on this?: "Dozens of men say Sri Lankan forces raped and tortured them". Associated Press. 8 November 2017. Archived from the original on 22 October 2023. - you are welcome to do it, but it will be time consuming. Oz346 (talk) 21:29, 14 January 2026 (UTC)
- Is it safe to assume that <refname="hrw.org55"/> refers to page 55 of the source, even though page numbers were not specified? I’ve left the page number unassigned for now, but I can add page 55 if you think that would be appropriate. You can view the specific edit I’m referring to here
- Similarly, the following citation also doesn't specify the page number but the ref was name <refname="Sri Lankan Security Forces 2013 p4"/> so I've assigned page 4 for that specific citation. You can view the specific edit I’m referring to here.
