Hi Pseudomonas,

I understand the usage as you have stated, unfortunately my publisher won't recognize the public domain usage without direct approval - this has been very frustrating for me, but I must comply if I want to publish the book I am writing ... thanks for taking an interest, kind regards, Paul Brunton.

Vertical flag in the coat of arms of Palestine

When the flag of Palestine is turned vertically, the topmost color of the flag - in this case black - should be placed on the left, not the right (when viewed from the front). However, in the coat of arms of Palestine, the flag is presented against this guideline, unlike e.g. the flag of Egypt in the coat of arms of Egypt.

This seems like an issue to take to Commons for the relevant images. I've not as far as I remember edited either the page or the images, and I have no knowledge that makes me the right person to deal with this, I'm afraid. Pseudomonas(talk) 10:29, 14 October 2025 (UTC)
