Removal of examples in The list of ethnic slurs

Hey! I wanted to ask about your recent edit on the List_of_ethnic_slurs. If I understand correctly, you removed the examples altogether because it's debatable what's used more commonly - an Ukrainian, or a Russian pig. If you removed the examples completely when I replaced the (as far as I know) not used Russian pig with an Ukrainian, you likely disagree or have heard the term a couple of times in common usage. I wanted to ask why is that debatable, do you have any examples of real word usage of the insult? I think this is not debatable, as there even exists a KnowYourMeme page that documents its (Ukrainian pig) wide usage.

I'd also like to note that this example existed ever since 2017 (back when you were working on the article, too) and this example was permitted to stay to this day.

Please don't take offense about this. It sounds as ridiculous to me as to you Tubelubie (talk) 05:01, 12 May 2025 (UTC)

@Tubelubie: I took no offense. Often examples are not needed. Your edit simply brought this too my attention. Per WP:MOS articles are to be succinct. If examples are not needed, then we should not have them. Also, every time you edit your comment on my talk page, I get pinged. I have gotten five so far. If you wish to further discuss this please start a conversation on the talk page for the article. Then others can contribute. Richard-of-Earth (talk) 05:29, 12 May 2025 (UTC)
Thanks for explaining! Sorry for the excessive pings, I wanted to be clear with what I wanted to say and edited furiously once I spotted flaws/typos in my writing. No need to discuss this further Tubelubie (talk) 05:41, 12 May 2025 (UTC)

Removing spaces

FYI, there is no need to remove excess spaces. "The system" takes care of them. As can be seen from the source of this message. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 16:12, 6 May 2026 (UTC)

@JMF: They cause the size of the article to be larger then it is and the space between punctuation and the reference I removed in this edit (after "Claude") does change the way it renders. See MOS:REFSPACE. Although I think there is a bot that goes around removing those spaces. I just happen to notice it and since I was removing that space I did a quick search for others and notice some unnecessarily spaces at the end of a paragraph. Removing those might of been a bit obsessive/nitpicky. Richard-of-Earth (talk) 04:45, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
I missed your removal of space between punctuation and ref, which is certainly needed. My mistake. 𝕁𝕄𝔽 (talk) 07:42, 7 May 2026 (UTC)
