Thank you again for all the guidance you've shared over the past few weeks. Your advice to "work on things that give you joy" has stayed with me, and I've continued contributing while learning Wikipedia's standards through copyediting, sourcing, maintenance work, and article improvements.

I've realised that I'd like to make Montessori education my long-term area of contribution. Professionally, I am a Montessori educator, and I'd love to help improve Wikipedia's coverage of Montessori philosophy, pedagogy, parenting, and notable educators, always in accordance with Wikipedia's policies on neutrality, verifiability, reliable sourcing, and notability.

Before I move in that direction, I was hoping to ask for your guidance on a few things:

Conflict of interest: I recently joined the Indian Montessori Foundation (IMF), a non-profit organisation, as a volunteer in an unpaid role. Should I disclose this relationship somewhere, and if so, where? Given this association, are there topics or articles that I should avoid editing directly?

Editing within my area of expertise: Since Montessori education is my professional field, are there any best practices or common pitfalls I should keep in mind when contributing to related articles? I want to ensure my contributions remain fully aligned with Wikipedia's expectations for neutrality and sourcing.

Draft reviews: Once I prepare a draft for a new article, is it appropriate to ask an experienced editor for informal feedback before submitting it through Articles for Creation? If so, and if you ever have the time, would you be willing to take a quick look at one? I completely understand if your schedule doesn't allow it.

If you edit articles about Montessori education in general, do disclose on your userpage (this is your userpage: User:Ayesha Basheer) that you have a professional background in this field. If you edit articles within the scope of "Montessori education in India", then also disclose your affiliation with IMF.

Editing articles within the scope of Montessori education: The best place for asking questions, receiving guidance and feedback, etc. for articles within a specific scope is at the WikiProject that serves that area. Suggestion: for routine types of edits, short Edit Summaries are okay (and make things easier for you). For example, instead of grammatical mistakes,keep under watch for some time and change grammar, this is sufficient, gr. Here is a list of some Edit Summaries that Wikipedians use over and over and over again.

If you enjoy doing certain types of repetitive edits, take a look at the articles within this: Category:Clean-up categories. Wikipedia will benefit from any of the fixes you make. But don't feel like you have to. Do what gives you joy. P.S. When I was a new editor, I was gobsmacked by the number of articles which were missing a comma after a date, e.g., In 1492 he ... instead of In 1492, he ..., so I spent weeks googling for those with the missing comma and adding it.

For updating photos of living people, see these suggestions. Commonly, photos of people (living or dead, no matter the occupation) are 3:2 aspect portrait photos. The quality of the photo itself will dictate whether to use a present-day one vs. one that is 5 years old.

Avoid: microphone blocking part of the face, glam shot at fringe festival, vacation with family members, dust jacket author photo, "look at me shaking hands with a notable figure", etc.

Preference: portrait photography pose looking at the camera (crop is okay to achieve this!).

Exception: live action sports figure is fine.

If there is an "official" recent-ish politician photo, e.g., with a flag behind them, keep it versus updating with a nice portrait photo you took of the politician during a backyard BBQ.

Now that he is the Mexican ambassador to the US, there are probably more references, and including more substantial ones. So he probably does qualify for an article. If the additional references aren't substantial, then, maybe not. IMHO -which is worth nothing- ambassadors are worthy of an article ... but if the media doesn't cover him, then he doesn't get one on EN-WP. Note that

Note the two edits (and their Edit Summaries) that I made on Draft:Roberto Lazzeri Montaño, and learn from these. The second of my edits translated the Spanish language title of the first ref; you should do the same for all the other titles that are in Spanish language.

Yes ... the use of AI-writing is highly scrutinized since March 20th when the English Wikipedia created a policy prohibiting AI-generated content. If you re-do the article, make small incremental edits which demonstrate that the wording is only yours and not AI-generated.

Given that this editor mentions a connection to Mexico and, in fact, the article is about a Mexican topic. that's where my brain goes. I noticed that https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandal_Commission_protests_of_1990 has no restriction to editing, but it does have a notice on the talk page about how I can't edit the page because it requires extended protected user status. At the same time, other pages don't allow me to edit the page at all and have a little lock icon showing me the that it is a protected page. Some pages which are deemed to be sensitive or contentious topics, e.g., Russo-Ukrainian war, require that you have been a Wikipedian for a certain period of time and have made a certain amount of edits; explanation here.

I did not "accuse" Communista of self-promotion, I simply advised her not to put her academic history and career goals on her user page.
