Kentucky Louisville Rivalry page

Hello I see you are undoing some of my edits. I am the one over the years who has updated a majority of Louisville's and Kentucky's records. I do not remember my login. The since 2000 records are correct, if you have a problem with them check the numbers I assure you they are correct figures. 104.191.19.226 (talk) 19:40, 12 August 2025 (UTC)

That's not the point. The figures are not cited with a reliable source (your assurance is not a source), and they are time-biased to make Louisville, one side of the rivalry, appear better, violating WP:NPOV. Please remove this material. Stefen 𝕋owers among the rest! GabGruntwerk 19:43, 12 August 2025 (UTC)

I understand your point about citations, but there is a lot on these pages that is not citated. I am Alex22406, who created and updated much of the Louisville and Kentucky pages over the years. I can no longer log into that account because it was tied to my IU email, which I no longer have access to. I have for years been updating records for both programs with different IP's. The “since 2000” records I’ve added are accurate—I researched them thoroughly and double-checked the numbers before posting, but you have no problem with " UofL baseball is 15-4 in the past 19 games" that I added and is not sourced but you are mad about the since 2000 additions. Regarding the “time-biased” concern, my intent is to present context. Many of UK’s all-time wins occurred before 1960, prior to the integration of Black athletes, and UK’s programs were established decades earlier than UofL’s in some cases. That’s why I think modern-era comparisons—such as since 2000—provide additional clarity alongside historical records. Really since the late 1990's UofL has a winning record in every sport listed except for Men's Basketball vs Kentukcy. If sourcing is the main issue, I’m willing to work on finding citations so the modern records can remain while still meeting Wikipedia’s reliability and neutrality guidelines, but I just never had to get sources before for other things I have added.  Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.191.19.226 (talk) 20:14, 15 August 2025 (UTC)

"Since 2000" is a time-based bias that appears to boost Louisville. STOP adding this material especially as you aren't bothering to cite the significance with reliable sources. As far as other material is concerned, I have not reviewed the entire article for bias. Re: "That’s why I think" is a large part of the problem. The Wikipedia isn't about our opinions. DO NOT add what you think belongs. Consult independent reliable sources FIRST. Stefen 𝕋ower's got the power!!1! GabGruntwerk 20:20, 15 August 2025 (UTC)

My skepticism may get the best of me here

I have to admit I am a skeptic of corporate news media, and have been for a long time. And this includes magazines produced in the past, such as the print version of Life. Life became so vaunted that people, including editors here, take their photojournalism as the golden truth no matter what the facts on the ground suggest. Art over facts. And this is formerly from the same company that produced Time, yes the magazine that recently portrayed Donald Trump, in a Life sort of manner, as a man who advanced this supposedly big Israel-Hamas peace deal, only to see it fall apart in well under two weeks. But we editors dare not declare anything produced by these outfits to be inauthentic, even when we can show hard data that they are. Of course if we can't get media to officially correct what we find to be wrong, our skepticism is original research and can't be used in articles here. I accept that. But it sure is frustrating!
